Was thinking about this the other day but what actually where the Power Rangers powers? ? I mean it's not like they could fly or had super-speed or anything. You could argue that they were good at martial arts but they all seemed to be pretty good at hand to hand combat when not in costume.

They were NINJAS with giant ROBOTS! Seriously, what more do you want from them?!

The giant robots were sort of loaned to them, so that's not really a power. As for the ninjas thing, well they were already ninjas anyway so what facilitated a costume change?

Their suits allowed them to be shot with lasers or hit with heavy objects while not dying. And pretty sure their weapons where more powerful than regular versions of them. The problem is that We only saw them fights monsters, so don't don't know how strong they are. Like if their weapons could cut through cars, or if their suits could take bullet shots.

They were five teens with attitude, duh In retrospect, recruiting teens with attitude totally should've blown up in Zordon's face. They were NINJAS with giant ROBOTS! Seriously, what more do you want from them?! I don't know, Jason didn't seem too excited about the whole thing.

I still wanna know where the sparks came from when somebody struck their suits. They were wearing cloth not armor.

They had enhanced athleticism since they could leap from the ground into their Zords and jump down from their Zords.

When morphed they were much stronger as shown the few times they fought putties unmorphed and had a much tougher time with them. They were five teens with attitude, duh In retrospect, recruiting teens with attitude totally should've blown up in Zordon's face. which is pretty much the basis for the show Titan Maximum

Basic to every Power Rangers team, I think ability to summon magical weapons, increased agility and strength, and the ability to breathe in space (though Power Rangers space is odd...just see how The Moon functioned there). I still wanna know where the sparks came from when somebody struck their suits. They were wearing cloth not armor. The energies that create the suits and hide their regular clothing (and in cases like Justin the blue Turbo Ranger or Crueger the SPD Shadow Ranger, body shapes) get temporarily surges when the outfits is struck, hence the sparks. At least that's the best explanation I heard for it from Linkara's "History of Power Rangers" series. The amount of such energy together is also why there's explosions behind the rangers at the end of the group morph for the team-up eps.

They had enhanced athleticism since they could leap from the ground into their Zords and jump down from their Zords. Yeah, you can be really damn good at martial arts, but you're still not going to jump more than 50 feet into the air without powers. This isn't G Gundam, and they're not Master Asia.

They were five teens with attitude, duh That being said they never had what I would call "attitude" they were a bunch of goodie-goodie swots, as fas as I remember. They had good attitudes. Zordon never specified what kind of attitude he wanted, makes sense he'd want positive people who could be trusted.
