I think guys like Omega, Sydal, and Sabre Jr. will lose to the company guys. Styles is the only outsider who I see making it past the first round. My prediction for the semi-finals Ricochet Styles Cole O'Reilly I would be cool with any of them winning. I do hope they don't have to inject Elgin into the final four because he's ROH champ now. Unless something's drastically changed between now and then there is no real "final four". First Round: 24 men, 12 matches, 12 winners moving on... Second Round: 12 men, 6 matches, 6 winners moving on... Semi-Finals: 6 men, 3 matches, 3 winners moving on... ...and a three-way Final. Ah. Apparently math is not my strong suit. I'm guessing Styles goes to the finals with O'Reilly who pins Cole.

Prediction for Match of the Tournament (pre-Night Three, because who knows what could happen there) would definitely be Gulak/O'Reilly.

I have nothing to add. I'm just commenting so I remain updated on the card.

Ok I can finally get around to saying who I would like to advance through the first rounds, not necessarily what I predict will happen. The Tenth Annual PWG Battle of Los Angeles will take place Aug 29, 30 and 31 in Reseda, California. Taking place over three nights for the first time in seven years, the tournament will feature 24 participants: I didn't realize how many matches would be on the card on the third night. Is third night going to be longer than a normal PWG show due to fitting all the tournament and non tournament matches into that night?

I'm really hoping for Myers as a dark horse to win the whole tournament. I feel like he needs it more than the others. Everyone already knows how good most of those other guys are, so I'd really like to see the former Curt Hawkins attain some sort of accolade and prove to the fans that he's a "good wrestler" too, especially after wasting most of his career as a nobody.

No way in hell is Curt Hawkins coming into PWG and winning the BOLA in his first show over people like Elgin, Strong & Hero who have never won it.

^i know. Just wishful thinking and hoping the guy does well; my heart sank to see him paired with AJ and knowing that he isn't making it past the first round. It's like he's cruising the Indy scene just to be a jobber all over again. The fanbase generally knows what Everyone else is capable of, and I'd really like to see Myers get the chance to prove himself in their eyes, especially after wasting most of his career in obscurity.

As long as he puts on a strong peformance, which he is more than capable and talented enough to as you say I wouldn't worry about his position in the indys. It could take him a show or two to adapt back into it like Trent? did but once he does I am sure the sky is the limit. I am sure the success of Trent? proved a lot to Excalibur/Dragon (as well the Board of Directors ) that people coming back into the indys after being in WWE for so long do deserve a fair chance to make themselves regulars on the roster. If nothing else he will have a strong showing and AJ is great at making people look good, plus god knows what he (and the others that didn't win, if he does that is) will be doing on the third night. Giving him and the rest that didn't make it through even more opportunity to show their stuff

I haven't watched PWG for about 4 years or so, but this dvd is already must see for me. This lineup is like the most amazing Supercard of Indy wrestlers ever.

If he was to job, then AJ would squash Brian like he's nobody. I see a fairly competitive match happening, and he won't look like a jobber. I could see him getting more exposure after BOLA where he picks up a quality win or two provided he has a strong showing at BOLA. It will be interesting to see where he's placed if PWG does the traditional "these are the guys who aren't advancing" tag match.

If I may make an early prediction, I think ACH is going to win BOLA 2015.

The only bad thing is that Night 3 will have at least 9 matches with threw guys wrestling three times. It would almost be better to have a fourth night with Night 3 having the six second-round matches and Night 4 having the semis and finals plus a bunch of regular matches.

Aren't they spoiling that Drew and Biff are jobbing, there ain't no way pwg is gonna pay him to wrestle twice on night 2, I wish that Brian Cage would pull an upset, but the damage is already done they're never gonna put him on the main event again, I bet Ricochet wins the whole thing, pwg is gonna capitalize on him being the next indy superstar fresh of winning the super jr tournament on njpw the first American to win it in 20 years, I see him beating aj on the finals.

Isn't the final going to be a 3-way?
Ricochet is not a bad pick though.

Back in the early 2000's it was common for super Indy shows to go 12-15 matches and 4-6 hours. Usually the talent was so deep and good at that point that it didn't drag.

I'm ok with that, probably my least favorite guy in the tournament.

Maybe he's doing a scene that pays more that day.

Maybe he's doing a scene that pays more that day. LOL. Seriously though, that sucks for Fox, as that could have been a good weekend for him. I wonder who his replacement will be.
