Second Round Recap:
If I didn't know better, I'd say that Kurt Angle's strategy was to antagonize his opponents to the point where they beat thenselves. And it seems to be working. This time he questioned the Dudley's parentage which lead to both Dudleys coming out. They gave Angle the Wassup but Kurt escaped before D-Von could get the tables. However Bubba Ray was disqualified for the double team.
In our next match, Chris Jericho had a lot of trouble with Edge mainly because Christian kept interfering. However Christian got involved one too many times and was accidently speared by Edge. Jericho then trapped Edge in The Walls Of Jericho for the win.
Meanwhile, Hardcore Holly was still pissed that his cousin Crash got further in the Tournament than he did so he jumped Crash in the back. The valiant Crash still tried to compete but was no match for Faarooq who got the pin after a Dominator.
Steve Blackman and Perry Saturn has been tearing into each other in the WWF's Hardcore division for months. So when their fight spilled outside, Saturn's instincts took over as he tried to choke out Blackman with Blackman's own nunchucks. But this match wasn't under Hardcore rules so Saturn was disqualified. Worse, Blackman then knocked Saturn out with a thrust kick.
Next was a match between Radicals Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko. Everyone was expecting a 5 star classic but Malenko scored the win with a sunset flip just 4 minutes into the match, surprising everyone most of all himself.
Val Venis' attempt to defend his crown came to an end thanks to Edge. Edge pushed Venis off the top rope as Val was going for the Money Shot. This gave Christian the opportunity to hook in the Unprettier for the pin.
And in our final match of the round, The Godfather offered a night with his ladies in exchange for Eddie Guerrero laying down. Eddie seemed to consider the offer but before Eddie could answer Chyna tore into the girls. While The Godfather and the ref was distracted by the carnage, Eddie nailed Godfather with his European title for the win.
So now we know who's heading to Boston for the PPV. But who will take that next step? Time to vote.
