I'm guessing the main event was supposed to be Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar?

I'm guessing the main event was supposed to be Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar? That was the plan, yeah. Which shows in how the storyline is just straight up, "Cena's a short bearded little troll who's too weak and flippy to be champion."

I'm still thinking Rollins wins with the help of some lumberjacks and the big blowoff happens at Night of Champions (to boost that show up due to renewal time). I'm not sure what they'll do until then if Dean's leaving to film a movie, though. Maybe make the match for NoC the night after Summerslam, then have Ambrose taken out by Rollins and the aforementioned lumberjacks?

As it's a WWE movie, they could allow Ambrose the time off to do Night of Champions, and maybe the RAW before it.

My picks.
Lesnar by destorying Cena. Reigns, Sadly. Ziggler Stephanie after Nikki turns on Brie. AJ Ambrose by DQ Swagger Wyatt after some weird finish. Won't be a clean win.

I honestly kind of have the feeling something's going to keep Ambrose / Rollins from happening again, so they can set it up for Night of Champions since that's the show they want to sell.

I think they'll actually have the match tonight, but Rollins will win with a screwy finish (lumberjacks screw over Dean). This gives us a rematch at Night of Champions, preferably in a Street Fight or Steel Cage.

It's a two match card. Hope Ambrose vs Rollins isn't on too early. I hate this thing of putting on one of the big matches first or second. It should be the penultimate men's match with the Diva match sandwiching that and Lesnar/Cena

Bryan confirmed in an interview yesterday that the plan was supposed to be him against Brock tonight. He said that he had a feeling they could have a match that would have been something people haven't seen before. He sounded pretty disappointed that it didn't happen.
Let's hope that's a future WM match for both. They'd tear it up.

Then again, the same went for Cena / Bryan and Punk / Lesnar for last year and both of those delivered big time.

This show is important though. Romans first PPV singles match could really show how much more work he needs, storyline wise, they need to careful with Bray here tonight to make sure he doesn't join the list of potential main eventers who never made it, and Lesnar, if the WWE likes money, NEEDS to win tonight. Interesting times.

Watching Bryan / Cena on the Network stream right now and... I dunno, for some reason this match is making me think Cena's tapping to Lesnar tonight. It should seeing as, y'know, it ended the streak, but just an F-5 or three doesn't feel like a big enough ending and that'd immediately do even more to establish Lesnar as the exception to the rules. Granted, I don't know if I actually want that to happen, even if it would at least almost have to force Cena to finally have a crisis of confidence.
