More families tend to go to PPVs as it's a Sunday and it's treated as a family day out. Other than in real smarky towns or for WM then PPV crowds tend to be more tame than those at Raw.

You can see the thinking in holding off on Ambrose vs Rollins for Summerslam, but announcing it, hyping it and then not doing it was an extremely stupid idea. They're the two guys everyone wants to see fight right now.

Maybe, but don't hype the match up like that if you're not going to have it, people will just feel ripped off.

They will, but if Rollins is injured, then what is the other option? If he got injured on the go home show, I'm genuinely asking, what could they do that wouldn't piss everyone off?

Announce it as soon as they realised Rollins wouldn't be able to make the match so people don't lay down $60 for a match that's not going to happen?

They could've had Rusev lose by Count out, have Lana drag him because Swagger has his "number" or something like that. I'm fine with Cena keeping the title (i didn't have high expectations for the match anyways) but why didn't Brock show up and beat up Cena? Isn't he plan B, C or whatever? And about the Miz. Problem is, no one cares. He doesn't get any heat. If they gave it to someone like Bo, then yeah, he would get heat. And they shouldn't have advertised the Ambrose/Rollins if they didn't want to do it. I knew Battleground was going to have some bullshit. Because some of the matches announced were for Summer Slam instead. The crowd cheered Bo, him winning wouldn't have gotten heat Well Miz winning didn't get any heat either, so what difference does it make? At least Bo would have got a reaction rather than deafening indifference.

So you'd have rather seen Rusev beat Swagger by submission instead of something that protects him? And what the f*** else are they supposed to do with the main event? Have Reigns win and drop it to Cena the next night? Have Rollins cash in when he's nowhere near ready to be WWE Champion? And Miz eliminating Ziggler is supposed to get heat by making the crowd think their guy won, only to have the guy they hate most win. Not WWE's fault that the crowd chose to not give a shit rather than boo. A different crowd with this same pay-per-view and we wouldn't have people talking about it being terrible, when hell I don't even consider it to have been terrible to begin with. Not the best, but not terrible. They could've had Rusev lose by Count out, have Lana drag him because Swagger has his "number" or something like that. Because some of the matches announced were for Summer Slam instead. Brock has a set number of dates. They don't need to waste two shows when one can do, that means he comes back tonight. Besides, what would he do if Cena lost and Triple H refused to give him his title match? Rusev isn't losing till a main eventer. That became obvious when Big E couldn't get anything like a count out or DQ win. Ambrose/Rollins was not going to be the blowoff to the feud and the way they did it people still got three confronations between them instead of one. Bo needs his first loss before he wins a title. Guys who get a winning streak and a title crash and burn to often when they lose the title, because you're taking away two things instead of one.
