I am amazed people are defending this assf***-everybody pig bullshit. Nothing's ever going to change in this stupid company. No, it'll change. But not while Vince is involved. I somehow doubt that.

I would have booked it so Ambrose picked the wrong trunk and is still in there

I thought it was fine, personally. It showed Ambrose didn't care about a match and just wanted to beat the shit out of Seth Rollins. Is it really worth demanding refunds over when it actually made sense in context with their feud?

It really doesn't matter if they had the match or not. Odds are people would throw a fit, cry about wasting their money, & threaten to cancel their subscriptions regardless.

Early on my subscription wouldn't work, er well...it wouldn't stream for more than 5 seconds without loading for another 2 minutes. I tried to cancel/unsubscribe on the spot and it ended up costing me nearly 6 hours of my life on the phone with a call center that resolved nothing. I want merely overreacting to fishy booking. Id love to hear the story if someone actually snagged a refund for any reason.

Is it really worth demanding refunds over when it actually made sense in context with their feud? The problem is that this could be applied to almost any feud in wrestling. Fundamentally, the match, not a fight, is how issues are settled or plots developed.

Yeah, there was just too much action and the card as it was. They needed to dial this one back otherwise the crowd would be exhausted by the time the FAtal 4way happened.

I didn't watch, but it really makes Rollins look like a weasel, which works. People might hate the fact that they didn't get a match, but it'll get heat for Rollins and fire for Ambrose each and every time he attacks him, so overall...I think this will help them both.

One more thing I'll say about this... You cancel the only unmissable match? These guys say "Hi."

It continues their feud until summerslam which is exactly what they should do. Only thing I would have done different is not have Ambrose come back until the main event. have Seth go up to each main event competitor bragging about how he's gonna be fresh... And may cash in. When Cena won have Rollins come down only to be attacked by Ambrose.
It's all about building feuds towards the big shows. Cry all you want but you will be watching summerslam just like me

I can certainly understand everyone being upset by this. I'm thinking Rollins is still injured or they're just making sure he doesn't strain anything further. But... Maybe there was a different way they could have gone about it.
Personally if I were writing it, I'd have gone with Ambrose is in the ring waiting for the match, Seth's music hits, out comes Seth and Tripster. Trips tells him "If you think you're getting to my guy this quickly..." and sets up a "I'll give anyone who comes out here to kick Ambrose's ass $10,000" gauntlet. Have Titus, Rybaxel, Fandango fight Ambrose, he fights them off until Rollins jumps in and they brawl.
At least that way you get a match, Ambrose looks good and goes down fighting, Rollins doesn't lose and off we go to SummerFest.

Yeah it was stupid. This match was pretty much the only reason I bought the PPV (I liked the look of Usos/Wyatts too but that wouldn't have been enough on its own) and for them to just skip it was pretty frustrating. If they did something like that on a RAW then it would be fine and good storytelling. On a PPV though? Absolute bullshit. Seriously, everything started out great at Battleground with the opening match and then it was all hugely downhill from there.

When Ambrose popped out of the trunk, I really wanted to see him kidnap Seth Rollins.
As per usual, WWE didn't deliver.

One more thing I'll say about this... You cancel the only unmissable match? These guys say "Hi." That's actually the one match on the show I skipped entirely. No matter how good it was, I've seen those teams wrestle each other what seems like no less than 100 times. So that's more than enough Usos/Wyatts matches to last me a lifetime.

Do you think this could, in part, be a ploy to get people to buy the network, rather than the old model of purchasing the individual shows?
Like if I had the network I would say 'Oh well, I'll just have to wait until Summerslam. No biggie, at least there were a few good matches'
Whereas the people who still buy individual ppvs might be all 'I may as well just buy the network so things like this don't happen again.' (although obviously you risk pissing some people off too much, but I think this would be a relatively small minority)
The introduction of the Network means that they can build to 'ppvs' differently now that they aren't relying as heavily on people buying the individuals shows

The whole PPV was inexcusable. The only difference between it and a regular episode of Raw was that the commercial breaks were shorter and it costs $60 to watch it. Yes because you normally get a World Title match, a battle royal for the IC Title, a 2/3 falls match for the tag titles, a big Chris Jericho match, and a legitimately built up midcard feud match on Raw -_- I've seen Raws that were that eventful, yes. The one where Jericho came back for instance had more going on than Battleground. Title matches aren't a big deal when they're predictable and the champs retain.
