Last night on RAW, they stated that Rusev made Jack Swagger tap out to the Accolade, and presented it as if it was a submission win. Well, Swagger did... but only after he had been counted out for failing to get back in the ring after the ten count. Dave Meltzer claims that this could be WWE's way to try and get out of the Swagger/Rusev program, and move Rusev on.
But still... why lie to the fans who were watching the previous night, and saw a completely different finish than how they described it?

Did Swagger even tap out I thought he was supposed to be unconscious? Either way they can't leave it that way Swagger has to go back for revenge.

I thought I was going crazy because I didn't see much mentioning of it in the RAW thread (though knowing how fast those threads move, I could have missed something), so I just figured Lawler messed up. Trying to change the finish AFTER THE FINISH TOOK PLACE is a pretty asinine thing to do, but also not completely unexpected.
And why not? We are STOOPID AMERICANS.
SHUT UP!
SHUT UP!

IT's better than what the Battleground website tried on that Swagger won Though if you click the actual story it still says Rusev by countout

WHAT? DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT WE TELL YOU HAPPENED, HAPPENED? Why don't you and my friend MARK go complain about you not understanding how this business works. Complain about it because it's OBVIOUSLY something you want to TWEET, TWEET, TWEET, INSTAGRAM, TWEET ABOUT! ~ Triple H, Probably.
Seriously, though. That's pretty lame, but most things involved with Battleground (outside of an opening tag team match) was lame. Poor Swagger. Lightning in a bottle moment...written off by a recap retcon.

As long as this feud is over I'm completely okay with this.

All that tells me is that Rusev is losing sooner rather than later, we all know that there was no way that Swagger was going to be the one to take Rusev down.

Which is a shame because Swagger is over. Beating Rusev could easily give WWE a new upper-midcard face. But nope, WWE needs us to see whether Cena can overcome the odds.....again. In a match everyone will forget about a week later and which will lead to Rusev becoming a midcard hoss jobber for a year before beocming comedy dancing guy like they do with all big wrestlers.

Why are we even talking about Battleground?
Rusev's match against Khali last night was a five star classic. It should be on the lips and minds of REAL wrestling fans everywhere.

Did he even show up at all last night? They said he was recovering from the match last night or something. Makes sense, with Rusev selling the ankle, and everything. I thought he sold the unconscious from going face first into the post thing really well.

Where they have stumbled into Swagger being crazy over, the logical choice is Swagger wins a rematch at Summerslam. The next night, Rusev goes NUTS attacking someone else (setting up his next feud) while Swagger moves on to something else.
Why is it everytime that the WWE stumbles into a good thing they stedfastly refuse to go with it?

Why is it everytime that the WWE stumbles into a good thing they stedfastly refuse to go with it? There's more upside to Rusev than Swagger so Rusev should win the rematch. That's the only reason to do the countout so he can beat him cleanly on a bigger stage. If Swagger wins, what exactly would they do? Make everyone he wrestles anti-American? He's over because he's against Rusev and Lana.
