Forgive an innept Canadian who doesn't know what phones are, but who is Noam Chomsky? Phones? I'd still like to hear about this automobile thing those people down south are always talking about. I'd probably melt my igloo though.

'Understanding Power" is the best place to start..as it pretty much skims his entire spectrum of beliefs. It's also in a Q and A format that is easy to read and understood.
After that "Secrets, lies and demcocracy"..."The prosperous few the restless many," "What Uncle Sam really Want's" are all great, short reads.
After that is pretty much depends on what issue your intrest lies.
Go to akpress.org and browse.
The above titles should be available at any bookstore..but the more issue specific probably will have to be ordered online.

Read his "media control" book. It's very interesting. I also read his "9/11" book, even though I have no interest in 11/9 or 9/11, but it was very interesting.

The Chomsky Reader is a good book - dunno who the US publisher is, probably AK Press, but in the UK (plug, plug), it's Serpent's Tail. Phone 'em up, ask for Martin.

I've read some of his material.
It's good if you want a different perspective on American politics and world issues.
