T.L. Hopper. Enough Said. Because he didn't show up until 1996?

Just wait until you get to Summerslam. A horrible, no good, rotten show. Actually, i thought Summerslam was a very good show, main event aside. 123 kid/Hakushi, Horowitz/Skip, Michaels/Razor, Bret/Yankem, i even have a soft spot for HHH/Holly and Taker/Kama. No defending Diesel vs Mabel though. Bret/Yankem is so underrated, it's overlooked because "LOL Kane was a dentst!?", but both guys worked their asses off and Bret put together a match that made Yankem look great. 1996 blows 1995 out of the water, but there was still a lot of worthwile talent, they were just in the wrong roles. Watching guys like Yankem, 1-2-3 Kid, The Real Double J, Smokin' Billy Gunn, Sparky Plugg Bob Holly, Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine etc. find marketable personas and get over in the coming years was a real treat.

All this talk of '95-'97 begs the question... is WWE ever going to release the uncut IYH PPV's? I don't want to sub to Network to see these.

I think the problem is the product was so out of touch. Vince thought it was 1985. The storylines seemed so no existent. WCW added a realness to their storylines, which made the WWE do the same. In '95 they had none of the 80's mega stars left, and would only use 1 or 2 of their big stars that were left on RAW at a time.

It is arguably regarded as their worst year. Been rewatching the RAW's from that year and I'm up to May and they've been pretty good shows. Just a random thought. If you enjoyed up until May you'll definitely like the later ones. 1995 was much better in the latter half.

T.L. Hopper. Enough Said. Because he didn't show up until 1996? My fault. I was thinking of Barry Horowitz's 2nd tenure and Waylon Mercy..

I thought 1995 was pretty bad, but there were some good things too.
There were several great Bret Hart ppv matches, including one of my all time favorites; Bret vs. Bulldog at IYH: Season's Beatings.

There was a lot of boring stuff in the WWF in 1995. This was the first year I'd buy WrestleMania, then wonder why I continue punishing myself with this stuff. I think I gave it a rest during the summer. I don't even remember watching Raw. WCW wasn't much better. I started buying ECW tapes around this time.
What got me actually interested in the WWF again was seeing Shane Douglas, Chris Candido and Tammy Fytch showing up. Then I see a guy that looked like a can't miss prospect; you just looked at him and thought "This is one bad dude."
Yep, I was a fan of Ahmed Johnson.

Ahmed Johnson got a couple of my non-wrestling fans into the product. They didn't stick around for long though.

1995 was like WWE today. The ex-Shield members are the new clique.

When I was a young lad, I had a "Best of WWF 1995" video. I wonder what happened to it. I remember it had Bret/Diesel, Razor/Jarrett, 1-2-3 Kid/Hakushi, Skip/Horowitz on it among others. All good matches on reflection.

1993 - 1995 was not very good years but it did have one of my all time favorite feuds:

I think 1996 is worse for the most hard. Did Shawn work his ass off as champion? Yes, but the roster was really thin. It was hard to find any PPV with more than one or two matches that had quality feuds or storylines. It seems to be Undertaker/Mankind being the highlight with Shawn feuding with the random heel of the month. They really missed Bret, Diesel, and Razor.
