I was just looking over the Broncos' schedule on /r/denverbroncos, and they had a little indicator on the bottom that says only weeks 5-17 can be flexed to a different time slot.
That really sucks, because I was really hoping that the NFL would flex the Super Bowl rematch in week 3 to prime time, and I can't believe they didn't do that in the first place. You have (arguably) the two best teams from both conferences who hate each other in a Super Bowl rematch... and you give it to CBS for the afternoon slot?
What are some other games that are making you guys scratch your heads in regards to the scheduling?

Nah, the Colts broadcast was intact. The NFL Network screwed up. Wish McAfee would've hit that 64-yard field goal. I know its preseason, but the Colts are one of the worst teams in the preseason. They let McAfee attempt a FG, especially one that long? Man, I should have recorded that game! BTW, he has the leg for it. I think that the Bob and Tom Show (which McAfee had been appearing weekly as last I paid attention) posted a video of him practicing kicking and nailing a 70 yd FG. Mind you, that is not the same as doing it in a game, but it still shows it is possible. Yup! Last play of the game, when the Colts were down 27-26, and they decided to just let McAfee go for it, and if he had made it, it would've been the #1 highlight on SportsCenter. The guy practices 70 yard field goals regularly, so I wouldn't be surprised if he nails it someday if Vinatieri is not able to. Coach Jim Harbaugh hinted after Sunday's second preseason game that Blaine Gabbert is in danger of losing the 49ers' backup QB job. Blaine Gabbert is complete ass
Really just a Bust all around.
If Gabbert stunk up the joint with a very bad team, why would anyone think he'd be a servicable backup for a decent team? He's gonna give Gabbert one more chance, and I know Gabbert is going to disappoint like usual. That said, the 49ers don't have any other options if Kaepernick gets hurt.

I don't think they'll make the playoffs, but I think the Vikings are going to beat some real contenders this year on their way to 8-8 or 9-7.
I don't think the 49'ers are in any sort of real trouble yet.
If Green Bay's O-line doesn't shape up they are going to relive last year.
The Seahawks are still scary. I got the feeling they reloaded well.
If the NFL doesn't find a "fix" for all the damn flags on the defense they are going to have to add another half hour of time between the first and second games on Sundays. if everything keeps going as-is you'll never see the first quarter of the second game unless you are in the home market on broadcast tv.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid blames LT Eric Fisher's preseason struggles on his offseason surgeries.
NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports holdout 49ers RG Alex Boone turned down an offer that would have made him one of the 12 highest-paid guards in the league.

Hey everybody, you know how the love for preseason officiating has been universal? Well great news! It'll continue into the regular season! profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/18/nfl-says-strict-illegal-contact-calls-will-continue/Let's break down how nearly every aspect of Blandino's quote is complete horse s***t: Yes, the players and coaches will "adjust". And those "adjustments" will translate to "stop playing defense and don't bother even trying to defend a wide receiver." Like I said last week, get ready for 56-49 final scores with 20 penalties per team. Sounds like a great season of football ahead! No you won't, because you never do. He's blatantly fudging his words here. Coaches aren't calling asking why there weren't more calls necessarily, they were probably calling to say, "Hey, when you threw a flag on my cornerback for a glancing blow on a wide receiver streaking down the sideline in the second quarter, why didn't you call it the same way when their cornerback barely touched my wide receiver in the third quarter?" Basically, if you're going to call bulls*** garbage calls, be even-handed about it. I'll say it until I'm blue in the face, but I hope the NFL is really happy with this, because in about a decade, when professional football is the second- or third-most popular sport in the country, they'll wonder why, and we'll all point to the 2014 season as when the NFL's popularity began to wane. Because the league decided that defense is a four-letter word and went out of its way to fix a problem that never existed in the first place.

Johnny Football feels very strongly about the name of the Washington football team it seems.
Or they pummeled the him and Hoyer all night. Either one.

The AFC North is probably the one division(outside of the AFC West and NFC East cause those are the divisions of my two teams), that I like a team simply because I hate every other team there more than them. The Bengals are the only team I like there. Hate the Ravens, hate the Steelers, and now I hate the Browns(before I was neutral to them).

You know what, he is a dickhead and I don't like the guy, but I'd rather him just be a dickhead than this fake modest, humble Johnny Football we've been getting in interviews lately. Deion Sanders, Ocho Cinco, TO; those guys were dicks and embraced it. Be honest with yourself, Manziel.
