Gotta be honest, I didn't think football fans cared about who was on it.
Personally when I get back from the bathroom and bullshitting or whatever and sit down and so and so is up there doing some generic greatest hits show, I just start yelling "shut the f*** up and get back to the game".
I couldn't even tell you who was on the show last year or the year before. I remember something about Madonna I think one year but I couldn't tell you when.

I'd rather Weird Al than any of the 3 choices. In a perfect World they would get The Foo Fighters to play.

Just pick Weird Al like everyone wants or F*** off... 126,000 people on the internet qualifies as "everyone"? How about the Millions of people who like him and haven't seen that Change.org Poll?
Weird Al has just as big a Fanbase as ANY of those three singers, his Album went Number 1 for a reason.

I couldn't even tell you who was on the show last year or the year before. I remember something about Madonna I think one year but I couldn't tell you when. This past year featured Bruno Mars, who put on arguably the best Super Bowl halftime performance in over a decade. For my money, the best ever was U2 at Super Bowl XXXVI, because of the importance of the performance and the reverence for the victims of 9/11. It was great in the same way that "Schindler's List" was a great movie. You understand its significance, but it's so heartrending that you almost can't watch it again. But in terms of sheer entertainment, Bruno Mars is up there with the best ever. It was a spectacle that provided lively and quality entertainment for the brief time he was on stage. It was the first time I understood why people view him as the modern-day James Brown. He put on a f***ing show. But in years prior, you had Beyonce, Madonna, and the Black Eyed Peas doing their schtick, and prior to that, you had The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney doddering around on stage, just generally looking old and sad.

I just dislike how the last few years, it's been all pop music and aside from Mars, it's generally sucked. You're telling me that Metallica, Imagine Dragons or Foo Fighters wouldn't be a good show?

A few years ago I suggested that one idea to make the 50th Super Bowl the grandiose spectacle that it so rightly should be would be to throw all of the money at Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones and have Led Zeppelin reunite for one night only.

I don't give a shit about the halftime show. Michael Jackson's was cool, but that's about it.
Although Prince in the rain was a cool image.

I'd throw in McCartney and Ringo playing "Let it Be" at the close.

It's gonna be the 10 year anniversary of Nipplegate. How about Justin Timberlake? Over with lots of different demographics, makes historical sense, has an automatic NSYNC tie in that's old enough to be nostalgic, and at the end, you bring out Janet Jackson.

New episode of Hard Knocks starting with Spurill getting surgery. Nothing I haven't seen before, but still can't watch without feeling a little uncomfortable.

Eagles acquired RB/KR Kenjon Barner from the Panthers in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2015.
Free agent S Nick Collins has officially announced his retirement.
Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence (broken foot) remains on crutches, and is expected to miss the first 3-6 games of the season.
That D is going to be terrible

Man the NFL asking their Super Bowl halftime guest to pay THEM is stupid. If they are dead serious about that then they aren't going to get ANYONE to perform for them.
Especially because they are asking for the money to come from the performer's post-Super Bowl tour. AKA the place where the majority of the money they actually make for a living comes from.

Let me give you my honest opinion on the illegal contacts/penalties:
This sounds like the type of thing Roger Goodell would have done regardless of who won the Super Bowl. It's not so much a Seattle thing as it is a "what Goodell wants" thing.
Even if Denver/San Francisco/New England won, I think we'd still have a bajillion penalties this preseason.

Contrary to what the talking heads think, I honestly believe Seattle/San Francisco will not make it to the SB.
The way everyone's talking, you'd think it's not remotely possible for anyone other than them to rep the NFC. I mean, all I hear is Seahawks this, 49ers that, best two teams, blah blah blah. OK, fine. Does that mean every NFC game that they aren't involved in doesn't matter?
I am already sick and tired of hearing how the NFC West, which finally won ONE SB for the first time since 1999, is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I hope the NFC West goes down in flames this season. Seahawk/Niner fans could use some humble pie

The NFL wanting artists to pay THEM to play for the Super Bowl is one of the biggest "heads up asses" moments of the NFL I've ever seen. The hubris is insane.
If I was Katy Perry, Rihanna, or Coldplay, I'd tell the NFL to f*** off.
