Interesting from Rich Eisen: The last QB draft class to not have a Week 1 starter was 2007 (JaMarcus, Brady Quinn and Kevin Kolb.)

Good decision on the Raiders part. They aren't going anywhere this year, might as well see what they got in this kid.

The Montreal Alouettes own free agent DE Michael Sam's CFL rights.
The Alouettes have contacted Sam about taking his talents north of the border. To this point, Sam isn't interested in playing in the CFL. He remains committed to finding a job either on an NFL 53-man roster or practice squad.

Not surprised that Sam didn't get on the Rams practice squad, they're loaded on the DL.

Jesus, has any QB fallen as far as fast as Schaub? Injuries aside, I think Shuab's biggest issue is in his head.

Football season is ever approaching, and just as summer begats autumn, football season begats my annual collection of prognostications that are sure to be cause for uproarious laughter at this time next year. Last year, I chose the Bengals to represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLVIII and predicted that the Panthers and Eagles would finish in last place in their respective divisions. And before you call me an unabashed homer - which I unequivocally am - in the five years I've been posting my predictions to these forums, only twice have I chosen the Patriots to advance to the Super Bowl. Will I go for three in six years and the even 50 percent? Find out below...

Look I can handle my Eagles losing another Super Bowl. I can even handle them not making it that far. That said, I will lose my shit if we get to the Super Bowl and lose to New England again!

I really hope he doesn't take the Tebow route and not consider other options in hopes an NFL team will sign him. f***er's talented, but if it's not working down here hopefully he at least will consider the CFL. It'd suck to see him waste away his prime doing nothing on-field.

Division champions: AFC East- Patriots by default due to ineptness North- Steelers, Dalton is going to have a bad year I thinks South- Colts West- Broncos Wildcards- Titans (I just have a feeling about them this year), San Diego
NFC East- The NFC East this year is going to be decided not by a team, but by one man- RG3. If he shits the bed again this season, he's probably done as a starter for now and the Eagles should walk away pretty easily as Dallas is Dallas and Eli is having trouble adapting to a new offense in addition to coming off his worst season ever. But if RG3 brings that 2012 magic back to Washington, I can see DC knocking off the Eagles in an upset. North- Green Bay, but if the injury bug makes another return this year and the Lions can get their shit together they could surprise us. South- Tampa Bay West- 49ers. I think this tightening up of the defense is going to hurt Seattle more than San Fran at first, but by the end of the season Carroll should be nice and adjusted in time for the play-offs Wildcards- New Orleans, Seattle
AFC Championship Colts @ Broncos
NFC Championship Seattle @ Eagles/Redskins
Superbowl Colts vs Seattle. Luck wins the game for the Colts during a 90 yard drive in the final 2 minutes. 28-26.

Prediction:The Raiders will shock people this year. And some how have a negative amount of wins ? Nah. We'll still miss the playoffs, but we'll get some good wins and be on the up and up as far as the attitude of the team goes.
