Ouch man, Quite the way to comeback after the Season break Overall another episode I enjoyed. I hate to say it but I had a feeling Tyresse was one of the characters in biggest danger this half season, Him and Sasha are the 2 I felt are in the biggest danger of biting the dust. So yeah, The episode started a bit slow in my view, but gradually got better. I liked the flashbacks with Bob, Beth, The Governor etc, I felt those were cool. Noah is proving pretty useless thus far. Best Zombie kill goes to Rick for slicing that Zombies head from behind. Shame as I liked Tyresse, but I guess theres was no way we weren't going to lose somebody this half season.. Just surprised it happened so early. So yeah, good ep.. Let's see where they go from here. The girl who plays Sasha is pregnant, but I don't know if all of the episodes of this season's half were filmed beforehand, or whether this affects her in any future filming? It could have been written into the show? Poor Sasha, losing her boyfriend and brother in the space of weeks Last night's episode was good, the "flashforward" at the beginning was done really well, was not expecting Tyreese to be culled. I didn't care for those two kids coming back from the dead though, thought we saw the last of them. The mother truckin' Governor though!! I was hoping he was actually still alive and wasn't a hallucination Will we find out at some point who burned out the gated community?

Thought I'd give WD another chance after spending the last year reading spoilers and synopses. Oh man, why did I ever tune back in? It's one thing to have lackluster character development, but when the writers continue to shoehorn Beth's awful singing EVEN AFTER SHE DIES, then you know the writing is beyond redemption.
Anyone else as annoyed as I am that Beth's singing was forcefully written into episodes on a constant basis?

I loved the whole pacing and momentum of Tyreese's pov throughout the ep.
Especially when they're dragging him out of the house and break through the gate. That was f***ing INTENSE to watch. I loved pretty much every sequence of that segment.
Also the whole thing with the dead characters talking to Tyreese and the montage of the flashing images. Just really conveyed the idea of the discordant way someone can be affected by death approaching.
Probably one of my favorite episodes in a while. Love when shows try something different with the editing and direction or they basically do a one-off, story that also ties back in to the larger narrative. The other one I enjoyed like that was "Still" from S4

On the topic of the burned out gated community; I also thought all those corpses/body parts outside the gates looked too cleanly cut-up to have been done by Walkers. That, and the mutilated Walkers that fell out of the van at the end, make me hope the group encounters some psychopathic group. The name "the Wolves" was etched in to a wall somewhere too. And those mutilated Walkers had "W"'s carved in their foreheads. I know that wasn't in the comics anywhere but they can stray from that. Following the comics too closely can be bad.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Someone on Facebook posted that there were Easter Eggs regarding the possible appearance of Negan and a group called "The Whisperers?" Too soon for the latter, but I could see elements of the former in this week's episode. I know people keep saying it's too soon for Negan and The Saviors. I must admit I haven't read all of the books. I only know of Negan through spoilers, descriptions, and of course the moment he's known for. However, from what I've been told they have to get to Alexandria/Safe Zone before Negan? So does enough happen in Alexandria to keep the audience interested? Or is it possible they'll just skip ahead to Negan and The Saviors?

That's something that's just started up in the comics, they haven't even come close to resolving it yet. Neegan & The Saviors, I'd say they could get to him by the end of this season as a cliff-hanger for the next if they really wanted to. I think the idea of Negan and the saviors requires the presence of the Safe Zone (or something like it). A big part of his character's story involved having a few places already established and up and running when he's introduced.

I'm kinda surprised Kirkman just came out and said that. I know a lot of people who don't read the comics know about it due to it being such a big moment but I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't know and would be pretty pissed off to have it spoiled.

Yeah, I got the vibe he's aware that a lot of people know that shit happens and are wondering if it'll happen on the show , so he's just having fun with them.

Don't want to catch up with the comic too soon.

The thing was they are fake spoilers, so if he said that, it probably isn't going to happen.
I kinda think that the scene may happen but with someone else on the receiving end.

I started the Show on Netflix last week and am now all caught up. Why did you not tell me to watch sooner?

Dragging Tyreese's big ass into that car must've taken all their collective strength.
And I thought that we'd never have to see Luna Lovegood again, but no such luck. And her horrible singing on top of that!

Whoever it happens to, it needs to be someone significant, someone who has been there since the beginning. {Spoiler}Glenn, in both comic and TV, was the one who got Rick out of Atlanta in one piece, and frequently was one of the the ones going on errands to find supplies for the group. It was only when things between him and Maggie grew and they got "Married" in a ceremony in the prison that Herschel performed, and the promise of a future in the hilltop that he started doing less and less. He was actually thinking of being able to finally settle with Maggie and their unborn kid... then Negan came along.
Daryl fits into a similar mould and is wildly popular, lending it immense shock value and consequences that would impact the group moving forward.
I want it to be Daryl just for the reaction from the "If Daryl dies we riot" lot. Let's see if they actually do!
Carol's another one I could see, given how much she's grown over the course of the show.
