It is more a line of succession. Only one can be the soul of the show at one time, one who can have development, but rather than just let a different character take focus, they kill them off. Where do Dale and Hershel fall in line with this thinking? Well, Hershel was more fleshed out than any of the black guys on this show have been if nothing else. But aside from Tyreese, the others only got their really characterization an episode of two before their death. Dale and Hershel had longer times with a voice and with importance. So I guess the white guys don't fit in because they weren't treated as being expendable. If you are a black man or a blonde girl you are not long for this world.

Damn damn damn damn damn. I really liked Tyreese. Maybe Chad Coleman can show up more often on It's Always Sunny, now.

So let's recap... T-Dawg dies when the black prisoner joins the group. Black prisoner dies when Tyreese joins the group. It was at this point the showrunners said that they didn't realize they kept doing that. With Bob joining the crew, it seemed like the trend would be broken, but he dies when Gabriel joins the group. Now this is the first episode with Noah a part of the group and Tyreese dies. Like what the hell, Walking Dead?! I love you, but come on. It seems we've gone from the one black guy limit to a two black guy limit. What's really sad is that it's always the tough guy who dies and is replace by some wiener.

He really makes the show stronger. Still don't understand why Tyrese and Sasha would let their guard down in the last few episodes.

Tyreese shouldn't have died. This was a terrible episode.

Although, I suppose: {Spoiler}He lasted longer than he did in the comics. Pretty sure he died at the prison BEFORE the governor attacked

Ouch man, Quite the way to comeback after the Season break
Overall another episode I enjoyed.
I hate to say it but I had a feeling Tyresse was one of the characters in biggest danger this half season, Him and Sasha are the 2 I felt are in the biggest danger of biting the dust.
So yeah, The episode started a bit slow in my view, but gradually got better.
I liked the flashbacks with Bob, Beth, The Governor etc, I felt those were cool.
Noah is proving pretty useless thus far.
Best Zombie kill goes to Rick for slicing that Zombies head from behind.
Shame as I liked Tyresse, but I guess theres was no way we weren't going to lose somebody this half season.. Just surprised it happened so early.
So yeah, good ep.. Let's see where they go from here.

For a mid-season return it didn't do much for me. I'd have preferred something that moved the story forward a lot more. I get that they wanted to tie up the Noah loose end, but still wish they could have done this next week instead.
It was fine, though a little dull.

Carol is hit by a car. Beth dies. Tyreese dies. All because of Noah.
Everyone should hate Noah!

I liked that ep. It was like the Walking Dead: 28 Days Later.
Very artsy. I dug it.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Someone on Facebook posted that there were Easter Eggs regarding the possible appearance of Negan and a group called "The Whisperers?" Too soon for the latter, but I could see elements of the former in this week's episode.
