Why are they still making these? Why don't the parents just buy the real songs for the kids instead of listening to other kids sing the shit? I don't get it.

I will never understand the need for these... ever.
I find that my 5 year old tends to like whatever whacky music I'm listening to, which is always a plus.

I hate these anyway, because it's a bunch of little kids singing songs about sex, politics, and depression without understanding the context.

Do they change questionable lyrics and such? Because that'd be the only reason I could think of for this existing, unless kids really prefer to hear kids sing the songs.

They definitely do, and have to controversial effect before. I have almost never plugged my non-wrestling journalism on FAN, but if you are at all interested in or fascinated by Kidz Bop, you gotta check out this feature (including creator interview) I did on them. This is my favorite article I have ever done. Kidz Bop is such a great subject. www.psmag.com/culture/kidz-bop-pop-for-the-young-63695/

I was indifferent until they started doing Green Day songs.
And then they pissed me off.

I don't understand the appeal of Kidz Bop. When I was a little kid and liked New Kids On The Block and MC Hammer and the like, did I want to hear a bunch of kids singing remakes of the songs? Hell no, I wanted to hear New Kids On The Block and MC Hammer do those songs. I just don't get it.

I want a Kidz Bop compilation called "Kidz Bop Sing 90s Grunge!" Because who doesn't want to hear precocious tweens sing "Man In The Box"?

I'm thinking "Rape Me" by Nirvana would be comedic gold if sung by the kidz of kidz bop. One other thing about kidz bop that pisses me off. Misspelling things to make them look cool died a painful death years ago. The s to z thing enrages me more than it should have any business doing so.

I want a Kidz Bop compilation of failed nu-metal bands. Disturbed, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Staind, Korn, Puddle of Mudd, etc.
