Wait so TNA only suggested a break in relations between them and Russo? This is not very reassuring for Spike TV. If you believe Russo, which I do not think any person with functioning gray matter should.

If TNA kept him on the payroll against Spike's wishes, they'll do anything.

VINCE RUSSO-TNA UPDATE by Dave Scherer @ 1:24 PM on 7/30/2014
Vince Russo is now officially done with TNA. He was informed today by John Gaburick that his consulting services were no longer needed after he sent an email to Mike Johnson exposing that he was still working with the company after previously saying he is was out of the wrestling business. According to sources, his involvement with TNA was less than warmly received by SpikeTV and may have had an affect on negotiations for a new TV deal.
Russo just tweeted the following: "Officially DONE w/TNA. Today they "suggested" a break, I declined. Finality was better for me.Details coming"
Suggested. That is a good way of putting it.

If Spike does wind up renewing them, he'll be back within six months.

If TNA kept him on the payroll against Spike's wishes, they'll do anything. The question there is more or less was TNA sending home till his contract ran out, or were they just wanting him to lay low. IF TNA loses their tv deal because of Russo ultimately it's on them, but Russo is an idiot for pulling that email crap.

I wonder if there's a possibility Russo screwed TNA again by saying TNA suggested a break when they're likely telling Spike he'll never work there again for sure this time.

Cutting ties with Russo may be the only thing that can save them right now. But is it too late at this point?

I'm gonna make a bold statement and say I don't think TNA are going anywhere. It just seems like the TNA thing to do to at this point to come this close to losing it all, surviving it, dusting themselves off, learn nothing from the experience and return to their utopia of f***ing things up for the rest of us.

Yeah, the longer this drags out the more I think they get another year on Spike at the very least.

Russo getting the official push as a "please God let us have another year, Spike, please pleeeeeeease" tactic from Dixie?
I could see that. I could even see Spike relenting. 'Officially cancelled' was thrown around a lot in the first couple days but without an actual official announcement happening. The longer this has gone on without firm word you do wonder.
Even at absolute best, though, Spike's not going to offer up the cash that TNA are desperate for. TNA has so little leverage here. But, at least they'd survive a little longer. And TNA's all about the short-term plaster over the long-term wounds.

Dixie has lost the trust of her own fans. Even the most loyal fans of TNA hate Russo, yet she lied, and had him hired the whole time, and EVERYONE predicted it.
There is just something different about TNA when Russo is involved. You can just tell that the quality goes down when he;s involved

LMAO at TNA being so childish about this. You were fine with hiring him when nobody knew but now that the cat's out of the bag, his services are "no longer needed." It's like having a booty call that's not very attractive so you keep it on the down low.
