LMAO at TNA being so childish about this. You were fine with hiring him when nobody knew but now that the cat's out of the bag, his services are "no longer needed." It's like having a booty call that's not very attractive so you keep it on the down low. A slightly racist booty call that insists on having p**** on a pole matches and run ins every time you have sex.

Even now, with all the hostility towards Russo, TNA still ask him to only take a break.

At this point TNA is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic If they left many lifeboats in England are several of the wrestlers going to die? Shall we have bets?

Still counting down my TNA greatest hits, here's an updated version of an old classic.

I think putting the pussy on a pole is considered the proper way of doing things and thus, can't be something booked by Russo.

Anyway, TNA memories...
When I first started getting serious in 2007, I had cable at the time and found out about episodes of a different program called "TNA Impact", and interested in seeing the other product than WWE, I took a glance at it. It looked alright, if not rough around the edges, but I felt that the intentions were there and it was good to see Christian at what is arguably the highest point ever in his career, since he was at the time the NWA Champion.
Ah, I remember Jay Lethal and Kevin Nash smoking pot, and the wonderful time where the classic deer-destroying-the-car scene from "Tommy Boy" was played out with Abyss playing the role of the deer.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to follow it for long, although I had the chance to sporadically follow the product, particularly when the Motor City Machine Guns and Beer Money had their epic feud. I was interested in seeing what they'd do with Desmond Wolfe and, for a while, they did the right thing with him against Kurt Angle.
Then, Hogan came... and they moved it to Monday nights... and Hogan brought every last one of his running buddies that wasn't named "Ed Leslie"... and hundreds of other dumb things that happened. That's when I gave up on TNA being a competent product.
Some of you suggest they move to England, but I don't think that's feasible. Of course, they might work things out with Spike and take a huge cut, but that wouldn't make any sense if you want to keep your company alive.
Out of curiousity, when does the deal end exactly?

At this point TNA is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic Everyone keeps making Titanic references about this online. This is not the Titanic hitting an iceberg, it's a rowboat with a hole in it.

I wouldn't be cheering about Russo leaving TNA just yet. Like a herpes outbreak, he'll show back up with a vengeance and at the worst time.

To repeat something I said in another thread, the decision to have Russo on in ANY capacity may well go down as the most baffling business decision in the modern history of professional wrestling. You knew your fans couldn't stand the guy, knew the network that was your bread and butter didn't like him, knew a lot of your talent had very little use for him, and yet there you go bringing him back in and trying to keep it a secret from all three groups. I'll simply never, ever be able to wrap my head around that. One minor correction to something said earlier: under Dixie, TNA DID attempt to bring both CM Punk and Bryan Danielson in. Punk was offered a PPV re-debut match with Samoa Joe during the summer of 2005 (to debut both guys), and Angle was pitching the storyline of Danielson being his protege that he winds up feuding with. Obviously, Punk hates TNA and wanted no part of it and Danielson preferred being in the indies until he got the type of deal he was looking for from WWE. Punk wouldn't have been available for TNA anyways as he was all but officially WWE-bound by that point. Angle wasn't in TNA until September 2006, so if he was pushing for a feud with him and Danielson in 2005, he would have been pushing it to WWE. Didn't say Danielson was 2005; Punk was, the Danielson rumors were around I'm gonna say about a year or so before he signed with WWE.

I'll simply never, ever be able to wrap my head around that. Honestly, for me at least it's pretty much confirmation of those rumors that he and Dixie don't exactly have a platonic relationship. Her commitment to him is just so consistent and so deranged in how far she takes it to keep him around that I just cannot see another possible explanation.
