BALLGAME MAGGLE.
Seriously, theses stupid bastards got kicked off TV because they just couldn't let Vince Russo go. I can't even dream of a more fitting end.

I mean that Russo was a factor in the cancellation is hilarious in of itself, but the real kicker is that it all got out because he accidentally CC'ed a wrestling journalist on one of his TNA consulting emails. It's such a cartoonish way to end a company that if it appeared in a movie, my suspension of disbelief would be broken, my will to watch it shattered, and my remote control would be used swiftly. So in a way, it's as poetic of a finish for the company as we could ask for.

Jobs lost. That's what I see here.
Lost of opportunities.
Never was a fan of TNA, never really watched. So this isn't like the end of WCW where I shed tears when they aired the video package showing the history of the world championship for me. But still a shame.

I'm not American, so I don't know much about Spike, but I thought Impact was one of the highest rating draws on their network? It makes it even stranger to see them not renew if that's the case -- they must have really done a lot of damage if Spike wants nothing to do with them anymore. They were toward the top but still a failure. You cannot sell ads on wrestling which lowers your value greatly (ask WWE on that), sold SPIKE on this last deal by saying they'd be hitting a 2.0 and actually went backwards and finally, were reportedly told to not hire Vince Russo but did that and tried to hide it. With Bellator's success picking up, reruns of other shows producing a near equal viewership and getting better ad rates, and Dixie outright ignoring an order from the network (she had to pick that to rip from Heyman) they became more than expendable.

Dave talked about it tonight on Live Audio Wrestling as the story broke while he was being interviewed on there. This show will be free even if the Observer audio with Bryan and Dave is not.

From PWInsider, not much they'll talk about but they do say that the meeting earlier this week was not related to the TV deal like was earlier reported:

Thanks for the explanation. I always thought they were pushing it with the Dixie storyline, and the Russo story didn't help their cause one bit. It seems like poetic justice that the TNA story ends due to not just a Russo story, but also a Dixie one. They've gone hand-in-hand (maybe literally) for years now.
