Okay other than JR running his mouth and people talking about it because of that, has there been any actual news to lend credibility to this? I'm not saying Ross is right, but he kiinda predicted spike allegedly canceling tna, his tweet was just hours before the news, he might have inside knowledge or just a coincidence....or he's part of the psychics network with Dan Spivey.

ROH going to Spike could be a real dream scenario. Spike is kind of a goofy station, but I think ROH could handle the interpromotion between their company and Bellator a lot more gracefully. I think you can talk about ROH and Bellator in one breath without sounding like a goofball, whereas TNA is such a madhouse I just don't think there's much crossover, as much as they wish there was. Would love for ROH to cement themselves as the number 2 wrestling company.

Gary Spivey. Although Psychic Waylon Mercy could have been interesting.

I can't see Spike being interested in CHIKARA or Quack being interested in Spike. PWG would be out because of ROH contracts and because Dragon/Excalibur aren't interested in expanding. I'd wager that just about every indy that "isn't interested in TV" or "isn't interested in expanding" would suddenly become very interested if Spike TV called up one day and said, "Here's $500,000 to spend. Can you give us a TV version of your show to air?"

Thanks to the TV show they got a foothold in a lot of new markets that they travel to now. As for why Sinclair wanted it, they expected cheap content that would get a lot viewers for their family of networks. Whether or not they got that, I don't know but one thing they don't get credit for is saving the company. Cary was going to close up shop in 09 or 10 until Cornette hooked him up with Gary Juster and Sinclair.

ROH is coming off some very good shows earlier this summer with New Japan and then on traditional PPV. I really thought they had some momentum. I'll admit that I've been let down a bit since the purchase by Sinclair. I really thought being owned by a broadcasting company would lead to better production values.

I really thought being owned by a broadcasting company would lead to better production values. That, along with Sinclair not bothering to promote ROH's PPVs and big events despite having an entire TV empire to do so are what Jim Ross has said repeatedly is holding ROH back and I tend to agree.

Technically, Sinclair is "doing something with it," since their goal was to produce cheap programming for their stations, and sell advertising time for the show. They're not spending a bunch of money on the shows, but that is sort of the point. While TNA lost a reported $45 million so far, that only happened because they overspent. At least Sinclair is running a successful business by keeping expenses low.
