Aside from edtheripper and myself I was wondering if anyone else went to this past Sunday's show and what you thought of it? Or if you didn't go if you are looking forward to the show when it comes out then you can post about that. As for me I just got done doing a little right up about it with some photos and results. It is right here: bit.ly/1qhgPln

SUCH a great show. They are really firing on all cylinders at the moment. Their shows have been really feeling like events since Critical Acclaim. Even the comedic stuff was solid. My only disappointment with the show were some asshole fans who pretty rude about jumping in my group's spots as soon as anyone would walk away. If you're at ringside and by yourself, I get losing your spot if you walk away. But if you're up in the balcony with your shit draped over the railing, that is your spot. Especially if you've got people working to save it for you. But, I digress.
For anyone wanting to see the show, Beyond is supposedly working with Smart Mark Video to get their shows out, so it might not be that long of a wait.

A lot of talk about this on my timeline last night, not for good reasons.

Yeah it was brutal trying to keep your spot at that show. I was on the floor and usually I can get right next to the ring pretty easily, but I kept getting pushed back at that show especially when wrestlers kept exiting the ring/flying out of it and fans were pushed back and shuffled themselves about. But as you mentioned overall a great show. Looking forward to Bone next month. I'm hoping my day job doesn't come between me and another Beyond show

Wow, that AIW dude is pissed. Sounds like he has a reason to be, but I haven't heard anything from Kimber Lee so it's tough to form an opinion. Shame, she's a jam-up talent, but if the AIW dude is on the level about everything it is tough to blame him.

I'm hoping my day job doesn't come between me and another Beyond show I actually posted about it in the Fans of Beyond Wrestling group on Facebook. I added you to it, hope you don't mind. It was mentioned in the comments on my post that a lot of people were having issues with certain fans being dicks to get ringside. To paraphrase a friend, the bigger the show, the more assholes that will be there. As for the Kimber Lee thing, this is the first time I've heard any of the details. She was at the Beyond secret show on Saturday night. I didn't know she'd cancelled a booking to be there. She mentioned on Facebook that she had a tough time seeing out of the eye that she'd gotten hit in, even at Beyond on Sunday.

Cool, thanks for adding me to it Yeah, Kimber Lee's eye looked jacked at Americanrana. It would be nice if the AIW guy was more understanding, but I totally can get why he'd be angry since she still lied to him if everything he has been saying is true. Oh well, at any rate I'll still keep enjoying both AIW and Kimber Lee matches

Not a problem. It's a small group, so there aren't a lot of posts. But, it is nice around the time of a show because it gathers everything in one place, so you don't miss anything.
When I first saw pics of her eye, it looked terrible. I'm sure there's more to the story, but it doesn't phase me much either way. I'm still gonna be a Kimber Lee fan.

Isn't John Thorne the same guy that did something with Addy Starr that got a lot of bad press and resulted in her being pulled out of the JLIT last year?

Sounds like a bad situation for all involved. Kimber Lee was legitimately injured (one look at the eye is all you need), so she cancelled off shows. Then she decided to participate in a show at the end of the weekend on Sunday, presumably because her vision improved enough by that point in the weekend to be able to do it. It sucks for AIW that they advertised her, she cancelled, and then worked another show the following day. That promotion has every right to be angry, and publicly if they so choose. It's a very public job, for which the public buys tickets to see that person perform. By definition, it's public if someone doesn't show up to work and gets fired from a job like that.

John Thorne puts out a quality product with AIW but is well known for not being the best person to work for. He got a rep for being a little too "forward" with women wrestlers and so short tempered that even Jim Cornette would tell him to chill. Plus he has a big problem about airing grievances on Twitter that shouldn't be public fare.

Thorne's also the dude who threw the biggest horsefit about Crimson going to TNA. Real unprofessional of him to air grievances in public.

Yeah, Kimber claimed that the eye injury was the reason she pulled out of the AIW show, yet she then worked the Beyond show the next day. Thorne said this was the second time she had no-showed an AIW booking (the first time resulted in UltraMantis Black taking her spot and winning the title), and now she's on AIW's version of the Jay Lethal List. Which is their loss, as she has one of the best matches on any AIW show that she's on.

I've been trying to get into AIW the past year or so and it seems like there's plenty of talent that gets booked only to never show up ever again.
