Honestly I'm usually on my darling CATCH_US's side when it comes to talent treatment equity type discussions. Having main roster talent just sit at home collecting paychecks and not being given a chance to be on TV and get over or be useful in some way is clearly bad business. Why that ever happens is a true mystery for me. But it actually seems that since the last round of roster cuts thats actually not being done with anyone on the main roster? Even those who are not being used on television are being used in NXT I think. So thats good. (Actually on second though, Darren Young? Still thats pretty good that I can only think of one).
But I admit that developmental is kind of a different beast :/ . I don't think its an ethical business practice honestly but thats another discussion that I would have trouble not breaking board rules getting into. But the thing is that guys who aren't actually on NXT television aren't just sitting at home collecting paychecks. They're down there in Florida training and practicing like the rest of them. They're doing what they're being payed for, developing. And they're being evaluated on it too, the trainers are making reports on who is and isn't cutting it and the brass gets those reports. And when its time to cut some guys because of financial difficulty or new guys coming in (of which BOTH are true right now) the guys who just aren't cutting it get the pink slips.
Again in my perfect ideal fantasy world this wouldn't happen, but I understand how its different than things like JTG spending like three years just collecting money and not doing anything and then being released.
