I could also add TV shows. Look at this picture below and you'll know what I mean: The thing I wonder is regarding some of the characters and whether or not they'll get a show or movie in the future. I know that Daredevil is getting a show on Netflix, same with Luke Cage. What I wonder is if we'll ever see Blade and The Punisher on the screen again and if they do get movies, do you think they'll be R-Rated? I can very well say that I enjoyed all three Punisher movies despite being unrelated to each other, with the 1989 one being the biggest oddball of the bunch. As for Blade, I can see why Marvel Studios acquired the rights because New Line is connected with Warner Bros and that is DC Comics country. I wonder if we might see a Blade reboot in the future. As for others, do you think we might see another Ghost Rider movie in the future? I still haven't seen either one of them, but I have heard that the second one was just plain bad. I have seen parts of it and I can't really say that I have much of an opinion of it, but it looked pretty bad from what I saw. What do you think? I read that the Namor movie was announced years ago and nothing has still come up. I wonder if Universal still owns the rights to it. I know Universal distributed both Hulk films, but the 2008 film was actually connected to Marvel Studios and is part of the MCU canon.

I think Man-Thing has reverted from Lionsgate back to Marvel. There was a Man-Thing reference in AoS, but that could be a one off.
Namor is tough. I have heard that Universal was developing something as recently as last year, maybe as a counter to Aquaman with DC. But I am honestly not sure where he falls now.
Surfer is actually derivative of Fantastic Four. Good news is if FF reverts (please tank, faux FF movie, please tank), Marvel gets everything. FF, Galactus, Surfer, the whole enchilada.
As for what Marvel will develop in the future, that is hard to say. Punisher and Ghost Rider are especially difficult with the Disney ties now to Marvel and Disney does not like R movies. All I know is Marvel will do whatever makes them money over time and will increase their franchise.

Is Deadpool an offshoot of X-Men? Did he first appear somewhere in that universe and thats why Fox owns the rights?

Yeah cause Disney didn't own any other companies that came out with R movies (coughMIRAMAXcough) And you gave me a new nickname for the upcoming In Name Only fiasco...the new "F4" movie is now to be known from this point on as the "Fantastic Faux".

Yep, he's all tied in with Wolverine's backstory. Badly. Which works because Wolverine's backstory as a whole is pretty badly written and basically a pile of plot holes and retcons...

hah! Its kind of sad they put Stan Lee in there. Its like, Yeah he created a shit ton of these characters but he has zero claim to any of the movie rights!
I think it makes sense for Marvel to try and bring back all of their properties under their own production house, if only to streamline and homogenize the universe across all properties, but I like the idea behind different studios holding different properties - it allows for more variation in how the characters' stories are told. If they held ALL the rights to the various properties and you're not feeling what Marvel Studios is doing with the characters, then you're shit outta luck. And I'm all for having more options.

I noticed Angel doesn't get to be with the original five X-Men.

Don't know about a movie but I could also see them trying a Punisher show.

It irks me to no end that Marvel's cosmic heroes and villains are finally getting to shine on the big screen, and Silver Surfer can't be a part of it.

I want to see a Punisher story arcon Agents Of SHIELD, introduce him as an already established Vigilante who in the episodes is hunting a black market on SHIELD weaponry being sold on the streets.
Bring back Tom Jane and we're golden

What other comics in the same vein could be on the horizon? Some more fun and comedic style movies done with certain properties. Personally, I think it's time for that Squirrel Girl movie. They could team her with the Great Lake Avengers and do a fun, comedic Guardians-like film with it. Those squirrels could be like little Rockets and Mr. Immortal could be quite fun if done right I think. Then again, all I know of the source material is what I've read online. I haven't actually read the comics. But from what I've seen online, it seems like it has potential to be quite fun. Any other ideas or opinions?

If DC wasn't anti-fun (I like their movies too, but it's true); a Blue Beetle/Booster Gold buddy comedy-hero movie would be fantastic.

I'd love to see a Genis-Vell movie also in the same vein as the PAD written Captain Marvel book. It was both action oriented and fun, and could spin outta the Guardians corner of the universe. Hell bring Rick Jones in tow and you could tie it back to Hulk.
