Watched Survivor Series 1998 earlier, it's edited quite a bit. They've managed to censor out just about every time someone says "WWF" leaving annoying pauses (even though the scratch logo is unblurred throughout) and they've bleeped out the word "piss" a couple of times even though it states at the beginning that the show contains "language". Yeah for some of the PPVs they've put up the Anthology editions that were released on DVD a few years ago. So they'll have edited out some swear words and any mention of WWF.

But 1998 wasn't part of any Survivor Series Anthology set, they stopped at 1996. We never had 24/7 over here, so maybe it was edited to be aired on there? Regardless, it's annoying.

Seems as if this "month and a half free for first subscribers" deal is basically the WWE making up to the UK for the delay by giving away the Rumble and Fast Line. except they haven't publicised it. Probably. I can't imagine Sky would be happy. Mind you on Raw last week they were advertising the RR replay for £19.95 during commerical breaks of a show they were showing the event on for free!

My theory is Sky get 40% of the UK network revenue which explains why they went with £9.99 instead of $9.99 so WWE would still make around £6 per subscriber with sky getting around £4 instead of WWE getting £4 with Sky getting £2 if they charged in dollars. if my theory is correct the "f*** you sky" loophole is that 40% of nothing is £0.00

I don't think Sky get anything of the Network revenue. I think Sky get all of the extra £5 they charge for PPVs now though. I think WWE probably less than Sky do on PPVs.
If Sky get cut of NEtwork they wouldn't be so fussed about Main Event being on there.

Just starting to watch the very first WWF event I ever saw: This Tuesday In Texas.
I've not seen it outside of a few clips since it was broadcast in 1991, but a few long-forgotten memories are stirring watching the early minutes. Impressed with the image quality as well given its age.

This is a joke.
Can't watch anything. Keeps buffering every few seconds. Tried it on different devices, tried it on wifi and plugged in. Still no good.
I haven't the fastest connection but I have no problems with any other streaming site. Don't have much choice but to cancel my account, which is a shame because the content and idea is great.

I've got mine working on the PS4 although it doesn't work on my laptop.
Anyone know if it's possible to get the videos playing in full screen without the black bars at the side?

Ah, the Network's on-demand content only goes in 720p (annoying when I'm at my girlfriend's who has 10mb and still struggles with the Network and most stuff wasn't even filmed in HD anyway). You can get the livestream in 240p sometimes but it's very inconsistent when it actually chooses to switch. That's probably one of the Network's greater flaws, the lack of SD support.

Interesting that Sky are now showing Fast Lane on Sky Sports 1 this weekend when the new contract stated that all the PPVs would on Sky Box Office.
Even with the Network doing a free month, I'm surprised that Sky aren't showing it on Box Office. Even if only 5000 fools part with 20 quid for it, its still a decent bit of revenue for Sky.
So is this just a one off move, or part of a longer tactic by Sky to counter the network?

Glad you got it sorted. Firefox has started to annoy me in the past few days with all the pauses, so I gave Chrome a try. No freezing issues, but the quality of the video was pretty poor, so I went looking for another solution. I found another browser called K-Meleon, which is based on Firefox. I played around with it for a bit last night, and this morning so far I've watched about 30 minutes of MITB '10. So far there have been absolutely no pausing / buffering and the quality is consistently excellent. The only (very minor) issue I've found is that it sometimes takes a little longer to initially load the video, but if it keeps performing as it has, I've found my new browser for watching the Network. If for whatever reason Chrome fouls up, I'll give K-Meleon a try. Thanks for this conversation guys. Helpful. I am playing network (just got it) in Chrome. It plays awfully.

I didn't get an email saying Feb will be free but it says on the website my next payment is Mar 1st. Did I still get a free month?

Works great on K Meleon thanks!
Network is good. Having trouble finding stuff though.
Is every old RAW and Smackdown on there?
Are DVD documentaries on there?
Annoyed they dubbed over Austin's distubed theme but oh well

Annoyed they dubbed over Austin's distubed theme but oh well Raw, I think, is pretty much complete up till '96 and then it's random episodes until 2012 where it has every episode again. If you're finding navigation a bit awkward give this site a try: www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/wiki/network , it's got everything on the Network listed as well as a handy bit with WCW, ECW & WWE listed chronologically. The documentary type stuff is usually in Originals > Beyond the ring.

Thanks! Very helpful.
Any reason why the other RAW and Smackdowns are not there?

No idea. I'm guessing they'll get round to putting them on eventually, but who knows when that'll be?
