So, Triple grumpily kept making 9.99 references on Monday to hype the network. I'm now wondering how far the WWE will go to spend all three hours reminding you how Brock Lesnar and John Cena are going to be in a match that happens on a Pay Per View very, very soon.
Besides showing that video package at least five times, I imagine there will be new video packages, each shown twice.
The Titan Tron will not show the match at hand but just a constant static reminder about the match
Renee will do 'man on the street' type segment buffers where she is interviewing people with one question "Who is going to win at Summerslam, Cena or Lesnar?" Have a couple with Ryder picking Cena, Cesaro picking Lesnar. Get Sandow to pick Lesnar because "He's a serious man in a business that deserves more serious competitors. Now, if you'll excuse me..." *Holds up bag with obvious costume in it*
Heck, retire Santino that way. Have Brock appear behind the Milan Miracle as he picks "Jahn Seena shall overthumb the Bees Incar-mate, Block Reznor." Santino turns to see Brock and shrivels in his sight. Heyman asks "Would you like to reconsider that?"
Santino replies, "I'm not afraid of you." Which Heyman responds "Oh, Santino. That's the funniest thing you've ever said." and Brock pushes Santino into a room. Later we see him wheeled out on a gurney as Cena arrives.
Perhaps the WWE can rip off NFL RedZone graphics and overhead shots of the entrance ramp could have Lesnar/Cena promotion on them.
Cole, JBL, and Lawler ignore everything and talk about that match only for all three hours. So, you know, business as usual.
When Rusev wins, instead of the Russian flag, it's the SummerSlam Poster that unravels.
So...how far? HOW FAR WILL THEY GO?"
