i would love for them to make more movies and if they could get all or most of the cast from the movies they should make a series aimed at teens and young adults (one of the hour long shows, like marvel agients of shield) not a half hour like the original show was, that's not really much time for a good story, imo. however i read on a site a while ago that if power rangers doesn't make enough profit they won't make anymore at all and it's on the line as is. so hopefully it makes more money.

Saw it opening night with my brother in law, cousin and his girl and we had a blast. Loved the movie and going to buy the Blu-Ray when it's released.

Saw it with the family this weekend, and walked away very pleased. Loved the diversity (Billy being on the spectrum really plays into my home life), and though it was an origin movie, the group coming together was very organic.
I'm hoping the sequel has more in costume fighting, less iron man-like armor (especially when you joke yo set it up smh), and lord motha thugging zedd.

The '95 movie theme being used was nice, but I kinda was hoping for a full orchestral version of the theme song. I thought it was the Buckethead version for some reason. Sounded a hell of a lot like it.

Sounded a hell of a lot like it. to be honest, i was hoping they just would use the original theme. but i also liked the one they picked. it was familiar in ways, yet a tad different. and let's face it, the girl singer is good.

I was disappointed with Kimberly's character and seeming lack of development. I think most everybody that was going to see the movie has by now, so I'm going to use spoiler tags and just hope they don't break. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} The whole reason she's in detention is because she shared an "intimate" picture that a friend gave her in trust with her own boyfriend with a scathing remark. Said boyfriend then told on her, and she got in trouble. Her whole, "I realized what a monster I was when I had to explain to her father what I'd done," was marred significantly by the fact that she still had the picture on her phone, and then showed it to Jason. She hadn't learned anything. But hey, that girl that summoned the courage to confront her about what she'd done? That girl got shit on for the whole movie, and Kimberly enjoyed it. The heating of the stuff in the cafeteria, stuff falling on/damaging her car during the ending sequence - to which Kimberly gleefully says, "that's what you get", if I remember correctly... what the heck kind of message are they trying to send here? I don't see Kimberly as a sympathetic character at all. Edit: Oh yeah, and she spread rumors that the guy was a jerk to her, I don't remember exactly what it was, but come the f*** on.

I just saw this and loved it. This was way better than it had any right to be. The previews made it look like trash. I haven't had this much fun watching a movie in a long time. I really hope this did well enough to get a sequel.

I really hope this did well enough to get a sequel. Theatrically it didn't - $140 million off a $100 million budget. Factoring in marketing it might have just about broken even, but probably finished in the red. It did enjoy massive merchandise sales, though, so the idea of a sequel hasn't been dismissed out of hand. Ultimately though, any chance of a sequel depends on its performance on home media.
