Because I cannot wait until someone finally rises to the occasion and beats him, just to see the reaction from the crowd. I like Rusev and wanted him to stay undefeated as long as possible, but seeing what Jack Swagger and Mark Henry have both been able to do in segments with the guy, I know that it's gonna be special when Rusev finally loses. Unlike when Tensai lost, unlike when Adam Rose loses, unlike when Bo Dallas lost. You know it's gonna be a big deal.
I wanted Jack Swagger to beat the guy after the last couple of months and damn I have to admit, if Henry were to beat the guy and get a reaction like he did last night, I don't think I'd hate it

I know many are betting their first-born child that it'll be Cena that does it, and let's face it, Rusev is a tailor-made monster for him to rise above... I just have a feeling it'll be one of Bryan, Reigns or Ambrose instead.

Mark Henry referenced the Olympics. Kurt Angle confirmed.

I think this whole thing is pretty corny and for me personally, the sooner it ends, the better. That said, it's been getting good reactions for sure. It helps that Rusev is a hell of a performer.

I just hope this somehow morphs into Swagger becoming Mr America brother He gets repackaged as Todo Americano he's gonna be a main eventer (or upper mid card) who is "totally not Jack Swagger" have a backstage segment too with both guys talking to each other (like the Santina - Santino segment) to blow everyone's suspicions off then you get ridiculous claims like "he's totally RTruth"

I just have a feeling it'll be one of Bryan, Reigns or Ambrose instead. Bryan is a long shot since he's probably not gonna be back until the Rumble (or maybe later than that). They could always protect Rusev until then but by that point, it seems like kind of a waste to have Bryan beat him when he already has a built-in story of trying to get the world title back. Ambrose isn't impossible but...I don't know. That just seems like a weird fit to me. The anarchist that doesn't give a shit about anyone is suddenly gonna defend America? Weirder things have happened but I don't think it's gonna be him either. Roman is a great choice and one I didn't even think of until I read your post. He needs something to do before he faces Lesnar for the title and being the first guy to pin Rusev would be a good way to groom him for Brock.

It's almost Umaga-esque in a way how he's managed to get an archaic gimmick over in modern times through sheer badassery.

Really? People are liking this stuff?
They aren't going to book Rusev to lose to any wrestler smaller than him, because bigger >>> smaller in the WWE.
So unless they debut some awesome new big-guy sooner than later, his win streak will end to one of the following people:
Mark Henry, Kane, Big Show, Sheamus, Great Khali
Have fun with that match.

Similar build and agility for a big guy, though Rusev's got more muscle and less fat. I just hope WWE doesn't do what it sometimes does with monsters and get bored of its toy once they do end the roll through the roster.

Weirder things have happened but I don't think it's gonna be him either. True... The only way I guess it could happen is if he just happens to do it without much hype on his way through a separate angle, like how Michaels beat Kozlov to set up his match with Undertaker at WM25.

Andre, Big John Studd, King Kong Bundy, etc.

I think this gimmick is like curmudgeonly European elitist Cesaro. Sort of a stock foreign heel gimmick given to someone who is really good in the ring but doesn't have much of a character established. It gives him a simple hook/identity for people who need that, and then Rusev's work in the ring is what really makes it work.

Well Hogan and Cena are basically the same entity. I think any time something involves either of them, it's moot.
And that's not just a cop-out argument, it's kinda the way it is.
