Lately there's been a bunch of threads praising Ambrose (I admit deservedly so). Considering that, I'm going to start merging some of them (And maybe some of the other mods can help if they're inclined to) into this thread in the future. Threads already made can stay, but others will be relocated here.
Just use this thread to express your love and good vibes for the man or his feud with Rollins here.
When the Shield first started, I admit Dean Ambrose was my least favorite. I think I liked Rollins the best, because of his look and cool moves and then started boarding the Roman Reigns wagon, when he was looking the coolest of the Shield on the daily basis. I didn't really get the massive hype over Dean Ambrose - until now.
This Promo started it for me personally. The delivery was spot on, realistic and done in such a unique way and crazy-angry way. The guy just knows how to use facial expressions and body language (check out the hand movements and chest beating parts starting around 1:20). Roman wasn't bad, but Ambrose owned it:
Then that Falls Count Anywhere match happened on RAW last night and yeah, fully on-board.
In my opinion Dean Ambrose is the best Baby Face in the WWE, in a long, long time. EDIT: WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT AMBROSE WHO SEEMED LIKE A CLEAR CUT HEEL IN THE SHIELD WOULD BE SUCH AN EXCELLENT BABY FACE?
His anti-hero/loose cannon behavior is just really well done and you know what, last night (And the night he trashed Seth Rollins' briefcase) he kind of reminded me of Stone Cold in, aura.
Hard to believe after not liking him much at the start compared to the other two he's now my favorite of the bunch, but he's won me over FAN what is this! The hype is real.

As I said a few months back, the best thing about Ambrose is he's always working the character when he's out there. A lot of guys just sort of go into autopilot when the focus of the match isn't on them, but even if he's off-camera Ambrose is completely in the mindset that he's a coiled spring and sooner or later he's just going to go off and f*** somebody up.
Pillman was so into his Loose Cannon persona people who didn't know him all that well (and even some who did) often couldn't tell if he was playing a character or if he really was crazy. Ambrose is pretty similar - despite a few over-the-top facial expressions, he's never pantomime-villain crazy, so it's not all that hard to believe that he's a little on the deranged side.

Years from now, we will look back at this feud as the thing that put both Rollins and Ambrose on the map like Rock vs Triple H feud over the Intercontinental title. If there is a feud that can go a year long and still remain exciting, this is it.

I never expected such a massive face reaction to him. Granted, he was always going to be popular due the legacy of the Shield, and would get a face run because of it when they did turn, but now I can't see a heel run anytime soon. I saw a psychotic heel in him ala Bray Wyatt which would eventually come to the fore, but I never really saw the Stone Cold-esque anti-hero coming at all. And I'm glad it did. There is so much potential with him as face or heel, I just hope the WWE does not neuter him in any way at all.

There was a loud "Let's Go Ambrose" chant going on during the Falls Count Anywhere match, and it wasn't faint, and it didn't sound like a chore for the crowd to cheer on the babyface - they genuinely wanted to. And, if I recall, Ambrose was in control, so it wasn't a rally cry. Because of Cena's polarizing nature, I'm not sure I can recall such a moment for him in a long time.

Hell, the parallels are just insane between them, down to where they're from. You're right about "even people who knew him weren't sure". The night of "I respect you booker man", a few thought it might be a work, but I remember DDP telling a story about his response being, "I don't know, and I don't care. If it's not a work, dude's insane, and if it's a work then shut up and let me enjoy it". With Ambrose I see much the same. He isn't "playing a character", and he isn't out there blatantly saying "Hi guys, I'm not a character, I'm just me", he has BECOME that character. It's what great actors do, and while I'm not going to nominate him for an Oscar, dude has the right mindset. He has become his part, and it shows in how he does it.

Ambrose has always been my favorite member of The Shield. I first got exposed to him when I saw his promo after he won the FIP Heavyweight title, and ever since then, I hoped that he would find his way into the WWE and become somewhat successful. He's found his niche, and done way better than I expected. I never saw him as a face, in fact, I only saw him as a pseudo-face when a The Shield turned, but he proved me wrong by becoming one of the best faces I've seen in a while. At the beginning of the year, and even around Money in the Bank I was certain the Reigns would be THE guy by WM31, and that he was the right choice. Now, I have to say, that the right choice here to dethrone Lesnar is Ambrose. WWE really has something great here, and I can't wait until Ambrose returns. His hiatus, thankfully for him, came at the most opportune time, as his return pop will be HUGE.

I'd honestly say he's the most interesting character in wrestling today. He's just so different than the other usual babyfaces we have who for the most part either have no personality (Kofi), become lame joke telling comedy guys (Sheamus) or become massive, unlikeable dicks with their douchebaggery (Sheamus again).
Plus he plays the role so well. He comes across as naturally unhinged. It wouldn't shock me at all if Rollins went missing and they dug up his corpse in Ambrose's backyard.

Been watching these guys since FCW it's kinda funny how years later legends say Dean Ambrose is STILL interrupting Seth Rollins.

Dean Ambrose can slam a revolving door. All he needs is a little help from Seth Rollins' head.

Dean Ambrose can slam a revolving door. All he needs is a little help from Seth Rollins' head. And no one would mind at all, after all, in his words, "It's for charity."

Man, to think for a while there, he didn't exist. I've got to say he's always been a close second to Seth as my favourite of The Shield, but I do believe he's overtaken him now that he's broken away and been able to show what he can do in the ring properly.
And his mic work and facial expressions are 5* quality. I know people say "HE LOOKS TOO GOOFY!", but I'm pretty sure most unhinged people look kinda goofy. He manages to strike the balance between goofy and intense. Plus, it's miles better than the standard "I R ANGRY INTENSE FACE, I AM WIN MATCH AGAINST (insert antagonist here)"

I almost feel like a proud father. I've been watching both of these guys since their early indy wrestling days. It's great to see what they've been able to accomplish.
...and they're only getting started!
