When i went to see GotG yesterday, i was the only person there. However, thats probably not a reflection of the movie itself, but more due to the fact that the school year starts earlier (August) where I live, not to mention it was the last day it was in theaters.

I saw REC on it's first run and was the only person in a little theater in London. Then it got praise from horror fans and critics and was put on again...and I ended up being one of two people in there...
I then saw REC2 after seeing a phonebox advert in a strange little cinema in Norwich with two friends. We were the only people in there.
It's odd as I do prefer to go to cinemas when it's less busy to avoid noise/any possible lovers copping off/travel hassle, but those are the only times I've experienced so few people around.

Been in with 3-4 people. Never alone. I wish. If I could plan that I would go more often.

Only happened when I watched Legendary. There have been times where it's a couple of other people, but that was the only one where I was alone.

King Kong, the 200whatever version. I should have taken that as a sign...

Almost pulled it off when I saw The Fourth Kind, there were about 4-5 of my friends there. As an aside, I have no shame in admitting I was completely into that movie and actually believed the footage was real and shit. Then of course I went home, looked it up, and felt like a dumbass haha. But damn it, that film was such a good watch for me even though it got panned.

Not for an entire movie, but when I went to see X-Men: Days of Future Past, everyone got up and left during the credits. I stayed to see the post-credits sequence. An usher came in to sweep up, saw me still sitting there, and walked back out into the hallway.

Almost had it happen twice. Well the first one doesn't really count since it was just me, my brother, and friend thought we were the only ones going to see National Treasure when two other people showed up.
Second time I went to see Looper at a late showing during one of its final weeks and then two people showed up randomly. Bugged the shit out of me

Many times. The local adult theatre doesn't get a lot of traffic at 10 AM.

It's happened to me probably like 10 times. This is what happens when you see movies between school breaks and there's a shitty AMC across the street.

Not the only one but me and a couple of friends watched Van Helsing with the theater for ourselves once. Best cinema experience ever.

Serial Mom at a very inappropriate age (maybe 10) at way too late on a school night with a very drunk mother of mine. It started out with 2 other adults in there but they left as my mother slobishly laughed at every kill.
I think that counts.

Yeah, I was the only there for Beer League. Also, I was one of three people at a showing for Super Size Me. Those are the two that stick out, but I think there's been some others too.

I saw The Strangers all by my lonesome.
I've seen quite a few others where it was just my wife and I in the theater. Pick a movie that is almost done its theatrical run and choose the first showing of the day mid-week. Happens pretty often for us.

Least amount for me was 2 people (including myself), when I saw The Wrestler. That helped the depressing tone of the movie.

For some reason I saw Dumb and Dumberer, for obvious reasons there were 6 people in the theater, 3 of which were with me. I believe that this was the second weekend that it was in theaters. Good times.

It's happened to me about two or three times. First time was nearly two years ago when I saw "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in theaters. I was the only one in there. I remember even telling that to the manager. She kind of joked with me about it and I mentioned that I had watched a bit of it on USA about a week before.
The second time, well, it's hard to say. I remember going to see "E.T." in theaters when there was that 30th anniversary thing going on. I was the only one in there for the most part but I remember this guy coming in, probably to kill time, and then left after a while.
The third time was when I saw "Rocky" and this was early last year, like in January of last year. I had the theater all to myself.

Yep a few times. I love it because you get to yell at the screen like a jackass and laugh uproariously unlike you would in a full or semi-full theater.
