Yeah, I saw the tribute at the end and was shocked. I wasn't a huge fan over their stuff as they way to over the top but they did have a few great myths. From what I've read the big theory is Discover really low balled them in an attempt to cut costs (and as punishment for the cannonball incident) and they walked. I do wonder if Tory is done for good or just going back to being a background builder like he started and was on a few myths this season.

I personally need Kari to always be in the spotlight.

That leaves 2 more needing to leave before the real star of the series gets to shine.
Come on, Buster reality show!

I liked them all, but they never had the best myths, those obviously went to Adam and Jaime. Still, won't be the same show without them.

Tory, not Tony.
That said, I wonder if they are going to just go back to special effects. With the new Star Wars getting made, wouldn't be shocked if Grant gets some more droid wrangling work.

I don't know if there's a "NO!" gif on the internet worthy enough to accurately reflect my feeling on this matter. The show just won't be the same without the Build Team, especially Kari.
Honestly though, I've been feeling the show has kinda ran it's course as a weekly series for awhile now. I personally think they might just be better off canceling it as a regular series and just airing two or three specials a year.

I'm going to be brave and put this out there: Kari Byron is attractive.

I do wonder if Tory is done for good or just going back to being a background builder like he started and was on a few myths this season. So people are already trying to twist this story to make-up non-existent drama with exactly zero evidence behind their claims, heh? Is it really that difficult to accept that sometimes, people just move on?

I think if it were just one person leaving it'd be a little easier to accept that they're moving on, but all three at the same time is a bit suspect. Of course it could just be them moving on, but I dunno. Personally, I thought the Build Team at times had better myths than Jamie and Adam did and I think it sucks that they're leaving.

I'm gonna say this as well.
Out of the 3, I always preferred Tory over the others.

So what are the B plots of the show going to be now? I have to admit I hate this team because they screwed up the myths too much. They had one where they were supposed to test if loud music played on a car stereo could jostle guns in the truck causing them to fire at no point in their test did they play music. Stuff like that just infuriated me

Did they ever really rush things by having the secondary myths, though? Always seemed to me like Jamie and Adam still had plenty of time for the bigger myth.

Compared to the first two seasons they did. Early on there was a lot more focus on e builds, instead of just the experiments, and would show them trying 3 or 4 different ways to do it before getting to the final method they would use where now it is just straight to the final version.

Fair enough, but I don't see them going back to focusing as much on the builds as they did back then. I see it more likely being they just have Jamie and Adam do the secondary myth themselves to keep the format the same.

I used to be a big Mythbusters fan, but I don't know, it just wore out on me. Maybe it was too much Adam being Adam or too much focus on the build team, or maybe the quality of the myths themselves.

I believe that Adam has already said they are going to reboot the show next season to be more like the first two. So while there may be a secondary myth on some shows, it will most likely be tied to the main myth and get very little time.
