Is show any good? I didn't like the movie that much but the show got some decent reviews on Netflix.
But the guy playing Richie Gecko looks exactly like Tyson Kidd and it's very distracting.

I have actually watched it. I liked it, but don't expect it to be totally dead-on like the movie. First of all, a lot of the narrative is of the original film but there were differences. There were some supernatural elements in it and a lot of elements were different from the movie.
If you want to check it out, feel free to. I recommend it.

I kind of wanted to watch it and I might on Netflix. I can't stand watching the El Rey Network.

I don't know what it was, but I just I just didn't like the way it was shot. Maybe it was filters or just shot on a digital format, but it didn't click with me.

I thought it was very mediocre. I would say watch it if you have absolutely nothing else to watch. It's certainly not even close to a 'must see'.

I don't think El Rey is available on my provider, though I'd be interested in getting it for the American AAA show which is supposed to be coming to it.

It takes some weird turns and was rather hit-and-miss but got better once they finally get to bar. I'm interested to see where they go with it next season, hopefully that one hits the ground running.

I can't watch that guy do a George Clooney impersenation for more than 5mins. You sir, are no Clooney so just stop trying.
The guy playing Richie isn't much better but at least he's not trying to be Tarantino-lite.
I watched a couple of episodes and couldn't get into it.

Being a huge fan of the first (and even second) movie, I really enjoyed this show. It stays true enough to the movie while going into it's own territory. Admittedly the first half of the season is slow but once it's over that hump, it gets really good.
Then again I'm easily entertained, so your mileage may vary.

It just seems like some of the stuff is just too silly, like Richie's hallucinations.
