I know Thomas Edison was a prick, but what's this about Gandhi? The kind of shit he did to his female followers (and by proxy, his male followers) was absolutely disgusting. He was also pretty racist.

International football is better than club football. With international football, countries make the best of what they have available and success comes via hard work, long term planning and dedication. Club football success is based almost entirely on which clubs happen to be fortunate enough to have huge amounts of money at their disposal, often in the form of a billionaire owner. Without that, with rare exceptions, success is impossible. This is why I enjoy stuff like the World Cup more than I do the Premier League.

I really don't see why people have to be such "bah Humbugs" about the Ice Bucket Challenge.
If it's going to a good cause than good for them, I don't see the problem.
With that said though, If your doing it but than not donating than your completely missing the point of it.

I don't know what was so bad with the Daredevil movie. And other than Doctor Doom being similar to Norman Osbourne in Raimi's Spider Man, I don't get the hate for the Fantastic Four movies either.

I hear the director's cut of Daredevil is pretty solid, though I haven't seen it yet. I think it's a little unfairly shit on in some ways, but the writing was the main problem for me. "I'm clearly a blind man, who is literally just asking you what your name is." "I'm an independent modern woman, which to this writer means I will attempt to beat the shit out of a blind man for so much as speaking to me! HIYAH!" Elektra in the comics isn't the most healthy minded person, I'm sure, but what the f*** were they thinking?

- Both True Blood and the Underworld films are every bit just as bad as twilight. - The Walking Dead is one of the most overrated shows in the past 10 years. - I find Jesse Ventura to be a much better heel commentator than Bobby Heenan was.

I like Ventura more on commentary, but Heenan more away from the table.

I find Bioshock 2 much more of an interesting game than the first, I know the characters are self contained for the sequel, but add in Minerva's Den and it's a much better game. Also, as much as I adore Bioshock Infinite (grandfather paradox and plot holes and all) and enjoy Bioshock 2, I find the lack of criticism of their gunplay a bit odd. The reason Infinite plays better is that the arenas for murder are bigger so you aren't just banging into walls or missing people with the over/undersensitive aiming, which is the main reason I struggle to give a damn with Bioshock 1. At least Bioshock 2 had the drill to save it's combat.
The Scissor Sisters 2004 debut album is the single best pop album of the last decade. And I'm sad/afraid that I won't be able to say that in 2015. More than that, for all the gigs I've been at for 'em, they've continued a good quality of output at every gig and on every record, sure, the first album was a masterclass so they'd slip, but christ, Night Work was amazing too.
Plus Electric Six are one of the few bands up there with the likes of REM in terms of never putting out a bad album out (Zodiac & Switzerland are my personal favourites). And my voice is being used on the opening track of the next album along with two dozen other people so yeah, the guys are all class acts.

I honestly believe that all US professional sports is now as scripted, if not more so, than wrestling. There's too much money involved in the leagues overall. Yes, even hockey.
Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park are all terrible cartoons. Ren and Stimpy wasn't much better.
The idea of paying college athletes frustrates me. Most are already there on scholarships, so aren't they getting paid already?

I'm sorry, but no. We're not going into that territory. You know better than to post stuff like that here. Followed by... Plus, having a girl that actually shares your interests (no matter what those are) rather than just 'tolerating' em? There's no downside there. FNAR FNAR! On topic, I honestly don't care about award shows. Oscars, Tonys, Emmys, whatever awards out there, it seems like a long and dull night of people people kissing each other's butts than any kind of real awarding of excellence. And as Ricky Gervais proved more than once, these people take themselves far to seriously.

I like "bro-country"/country pop better than real country music.

Meanwhile, colleges make massive amounts of money off of them. It's sort of like how a lot of people are irritated by how much some athletes make, while glossing over how much more money the team makes off of them.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the worst animes ever.
The Amazing World of Gumball is the best show on Cartoon Network right now.
I liked the New Generation era of WWE.
The Last of Us is a mediocre game at best.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is one of the greatest games of all time
American Dad is a much better show then Family Guy.

But if an athlete goes to college on a scholarship, they're being "Paid" by not having to pay for classes, books, room, etc - Which nowadays is about per player what the college is making off them anyway. Why can't that extra money be seen as a way to lower the price of classes for EVERYONE so that we don't have millions of kids in debt when they graduate? I have several friends who didn't have scholarships (academic, athletic or otherwise) who are in over their heads. Athletes - off to the NFL or not - won't have that when they graduate. And that's even IF the athletes are taking classes.....

Oh, college is overpriced as f***, and the entire system is kind of teetering on collapse, but when the college itself arbitrarily sets the price, they're just another in a long line of students getting f***ed by the way things currently are.

Classes, books and room are likely but they still have to get their supplies, clothes, food and drinks, and everything else. Most of these kids between classes and then sports are going 12 hours a day if not more. They cannot work to provide for themselves because of the schedule they are forced to keep, most don't have parents that can help and accepting anything from anyone will be a violation of NCAA rules ending their college career which that leaves them up the creek while the universities make millions off of them.

Mechanically, Super Dragon Ball Z is a better game than Dimps' Budokai series. Super DBZ is pretty underrated in my opinion.
I think the Street Fighter IV series is just as great as II, III, and Alpha. I don't understand the hate.
Kim Possible: What's the Switch is a pretty decent PS2 platformer.
I don't see what's so great about Orange is the New Black.
WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It is an okay game. The commentary is hilarious. However, WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW is a big disappointment. Also, WrestleMania XIX is a good game...if you take away the Revenge Mode.
I don't like all of the sprites in The King of Fighters XIII, specifically, Ralf, Clark, Athena, King, and Yuri; their old sprites were better. KOF XI has the best art in the series.
