First things first - I do not want to turn this into "I hate the product because..." Thread, just conversation.
I'm just thinking that, right now, my heart is not in the product. I know there are great things like Reigns, Ambrose, Bryan, Wyatt and so on and more coming from NXT. But, for some reason, I'm just feeling... unhappy. Maybe because so many of my traditional stalwarts in wrestling are passing into history. HBK is gone, Jericho is winding down his career and, well, for lack of a better term, The Man, The Undertaker is just about done too.
I'm giving some serious serious thought into stepping away for a while. Not quitting, oh no, I love this crazy industry too much to be gone for long. But, I dunno. There's a part of me that is far more interested in turning on the Network and reliving memories than making new ones these days. I feel like I'm holding on just long enough for my last tie to my childhood to be broken. Waiting for Taker to hang up his boots and I'll be gone with him. At least for a while.
What about you all? When do you say 'enough' and take a break? What brings you back? Just... want to hear some thoughts.

I am very close to taking my first break from wrestling since the fall of 2002. Only thing keeping me tuned in is the eventual return of Dean Ambrose and the prospect of a HITC match with Rollins in October.

Well, if you feel like it's the best thing for you, then by all means take a break.
For me, it's going to take a hell of a lot for me to get out and stop following it, mostly because I'm not coming in with a lot of expectation for my favourite guys. For example, if Daniel Bryan had to retire tomorrow, I'd be plenty satisfied with his career as it is, as opposed to bitter that he never got a long WWE Championship reign or that much respect from the office. It's why I don't get real angry at WWE when they get into their complacent cycles of booking.

If Cena gets the belt back at Night of Champions I'll probably be done for a while. As it is, I'm already considering skipping the next few weeks of Raw.

The only thing I care about right now is the Divas Title, since I've met Paige a few times along with her mum and dad after a few WAW/Bellatrix shows I went to and are really fun people to be round so I crave for her to do well, but after the diva stuff is done I turn off until Lesnar/Heyman are on then turn off completely.
Right now, my wrestling interests are Lucha, Puro, European, Joshi/Womens Wrestling... oh and Chikara.
I took a break from it and just learnt that what I want and like about wrestling I will not get with WWE.

I more or less took a break from after WrestLemania until July. I needed it badly and it did me the world of good even if it was only a short break.

Every time I consider quitting something pulls me back in, even if I don't watch the whole of the shows to see it.

People seem to be ready to quit WWE, especially if Cena wins the belt back from Brock. But him just BURYING the Wyatt Family like he did may have broken that straw early... fact of the matter is, this is RAW right now:
Super Cena showing he's ready to face and beat Brock at NOT and everyone about up his ass in support
Roman Reign's Superpush
No Daniel Bryan or Bad News Barrett due to Injury
Rusev being Rusev, repetitive as shit
The Dust Brothers turning heel because WWE Didn't go through with the New Nation plans
Los Matadores and Torito still going over better teams who deserve it
The Bella Storyline
Ambrose is out a few weeks to shoot a movie
I mean, it's really true, RAW is in dire straights right now to me... not all of it's bad but if Cena beats Brock at Summerslam, that could be a nail in the coffin for some viewers.
Me? I'll probably still watch because I'm masochistic, that and I love the Threads here...

It would take a lot for me to take a break from wrestling. Sometimes I ease off but I don't think I've ever outright quit watching. There's always been something interesting to keep me involved.

I hadn't watched a full episode of Raw for years, only caught the well received matches and segments afterwards and caved in and watched my first full episode this week.
I'm back to having a sabbatical again. Not wasting 3 hours of my life on that crap.

I'm basically in a break period right now. I haven't watched a full Raw in months, and just YouTube the matches/segments with the guys I'm interested in... assuming I like the direction of where the story is going. Been keeping up with Rollins/Ambrose and the Dust Brothers, but since I've no interest in seeing them as heels, I'm pretty much not watching at all until Ambrose returns.

I think the biggest reason as to why I keep watching wrestling is that I always have enough free time.
It's never been the thing that keeps me from doing what needs to be done. If anything, it helps. I remember the day I was studying for a final, May 19th, and word initially got out that Steen was offered a contract. That was pretty cool.
It's not intrusive. Specific booking choices aside, it makes me more happy than not.

Until Ambrose is back, I really don't see a reason to watch. Nothing else is worth watching currently.

My waking thoughts have been on sabbatical since the Invasion
WWE is a white noise on the Mondays I bother to watch RAW, and the attraction isn't even the product, but rather the superior entertainment I find here on this site.

Even when Raw is terrible I keep it on my TV. 8 to 11 pm I'm playing on my computer, and will turn around and watch if something interesting is happening. Otherwise, I ignore it and continue gaming.

WWE has picked the worst time to completely lose my interest considering the NFL and College Football season is upon us. I'll probably end up sitting out the until Royal Rumble because I don't get enough free time once the NFL and College Football season start up.
And I'm just not willing to spend that precious free time sitting through the garbage WWE has been serving up since Wrestlemania.

Football usually trumps RAW for me, unless it's a game between the 4-7 Tennessee Titans and the 3-8 Jacksonville Jaguars. That's the wrestling equivalent of Kofi Kingston and Damian Sandow main eventing RAW.

I've watched pretty much every RAW since late 98 (watched religiously when I was younger, but stopped for 2 or 3 years because I couldn't get over it actually being fake until late 98), and am not going to stop anytime soon. Even if I only half watch it and play on my phone at the same time, that IS Monday.
Never miss NXT, though I usually watch it after it first airs. Smackdown I'm less religious about. Rarely watch Main Event or Superstars.
