So I'm auditioning for a play Tuesday night, but it's written by the director (this will be it's first performance) so I don't have a script to study. I do know the format for the audition, though. We'll act out various scenes and play the characters, and then we do a monologue and leave. I've never auditioned for something without the script before. I know we have some actors up in here. Any ideas for how to prepare?

So you'll get script reads when you get there for the audition? Kind of like walking in for voice over stuff, albeit with likely a lot more drama and obviously the added third dimension.
In my experience, I always did well to fall back into "high school English lit class analysis mode"; like, when you read a book and try to read into it and see what the author was going for. The same case goes for any scripted copy; you briefly read it, pick up on cues, sentence structure, etc., and then give it your all however you feel is best. Don't get bogged down in worrying what the writer specifically wants, because you'll never know that when you walk in blind; instead, you have to have the gumption to say "This is how I've read the material, and I'm gonna go all out based on that."
Since you can't control exactly what the writer/director will want in every case, all you can do is go by your best instincts and by your best personal analysis of the material...though if the writer is open to offering your guys some direction going into the scenes, it obviously behooves everybody to give a listen.

If this lady gets the job over you, trust me, it's their loss.

Remember Mitch Hedberg's advice,
"Previous acting experience? When I make a shot in pool, I act like I'm not surprised."
If TV and movies have taught me anything, it's say, "f*** you Mr. Director! Here's what I think of your script!!!" Then wipe your ass with it, toss it him and storm off. He'll jump to his feet and declare you perfect.
