I wish there was a promotion today with a vibe like early/mid-nineties WCW. Family-friendly with being corny, quality wrestling, and unique stages.

Tito Ortiz was watching when this happened, and said to himself "if I ever debuted on a wrestling show, that's how I wanna do it." he did and Mr Anderson scratched his head quite a bit

Says a lot about how little faith WCW had in their homegrown guys that this isn't the main event. Seeing how this debut episode happened at a mall where Hogan had a restaurant and Hogan reduxed an old WWF feud for the main event match I think it shows more how much creative control Hogan had at the time.

How come Lex Luger did not work as a Hogan replacement. I mean the guy is the total package. Not 1/1000th of the charisma. Lex was likable, but he wasn't in the same stratosphere as Hogan.

Flair is so great yet completely hokey. An old man getting tossed around and begging for his life most of the match seems like it's designed to be funny.

That, and they didn't act when the moment was right after slamming Yoko. I doubt he'd have been the next Hogan, but he would have been over.

Sabu in WCW didn't make sense. Actually Sabu wrestling in a match where they would quickly DQ people never made sense to me.

We get it, man, your mother doesn't like the dirty ads. It's come through five times already. (Seriously, the forum must be glitching)
