They advertise it as a "Double Main Event" listing The Mega Maniacs and Money Inc as the Main Event with Bret/Yoko. So my question is...is Brutus Beefcake and I.R.S. considered Wrestlemania Main Eventers?

Yes, but I don't know if WWE acknowledges this. Then you gotta fight off the last match on the card is always the main event crowd.

Not only was Beefcake promoted in a main event Wrestlemania match, but he main evented Starrcade the following year. And some people don't think he's worthy of the Hall of Fame.

In total fairness, Hogan was a huge part of the marketing for WM IX, so any match he was in was rightly going to get a "main event" label.

Not only is I.R.S. a Wrestlemania main eventer, he also has a win over Hulk Hogan to show for it. Money Inc. were awesome.

Yeah, but at least mullets had a place in the world, even though looking back they were abominations, I don't know if anyone in any time period has thought the hair in that photo was good.

Count me in for the Beefcake in the HoF argument. People sort of gloss over it because of his friendship with Hogan, but he was one of the top faces in the company for 3-4 years in the late 80's.

In the past I think Beefcake's Hall of Fame chances were hurt by both his "anthrax" scare and the fact that he was always seen as Hogan's buddy during times when Hogan was on the outs with the company. At his peak in the WWF he was as over as guys like Jim Duggan and Jake Roberts, so if he stays clean and Hogan doesn't decide to go into business for himself again, I think he might have a shot at the Hall of Fame in the next year or two.
WrestleMania is in San Francisco (kinda) this year, wasn't he billed as being from there during his WWF days?

I'll tell you this much, this was the first Wrestlemania that I saw live, and this was by far the match I was most excited for.
