How over were the Nasty Boys in WCW?

I've been reliving my childhood watching WCW in order thanks to all the Nitros, and while I was a big Nasty Boys fan as a wee lad, the crowds for the Jan. 96 Clash of the Champions AND SuperBrawl VI collectively lose their shit whenever they come out for their match.

I never remembered them being so damn over.

EDIT: There are also VERY loud, VERY clear "NASTIES" chants during the matches. Either the Nasty Boys were super popular or WCW crowds HATED Public Enemy.

As I recall, the Nasties peaked in mid 90's WCW. After the nWo hit its stride, it seems like they got lost in the shuffle. Then it wasn't long after this that Sags got injured.
