he's not exactly wrong. they are half-assing it and largely have been since Wrestlemania. I know Daniel Bryan getting injured threw a bit of a wrench nto things but it's inexcusable that they couldn't come up with a half-way passable plan b.

If he thinks the product they are putting out is that bad, that it wouldn't even air back in the Attitude Era, then perhaps a good idea would be to find a better way to waste three hours on a Monday night. If most people don't like the product, being there no matter what is one thing that definitely won't change it.

He is right, but he is also speaking from a perspective which may have been true years ago. The risk just isn't there anymore for WWE. They can get away with putting out awful shows because they haven't got any competition in the same field anymore.
Back then it may well have been make or break with the scripts, tension would have been massive if you knew that a wrong move meant people choosing the alternative. Now? They're coasting.

If every Raw was a standalone "sitcom" with the longer story arcs being based around the sporting aspects of things Russo would be a great mind to have, solely as I think he can do GREAT single episodes of shows which give EVERYONE something to do which contribute to the final segments of shows. See: Survivor Series 1998 He can cause damage, but if WWE wanted to be this entertainment vessel whilst trying to appear as a real sport when it suits them then maybe a mix like that with a head entertainment writer working with a long term booker would help more than half arsedness.

Swerve.
Russo has been WWE's head writer since June.

Good points, but after reading about "literally" leaving blood, sweat and tears on the script I would have thrown that letter straight in the bin. Don't use words you don't f***ing understand. Gaaah. He also did the 'light years' thing. Well played, Vinny. Aside from that, he's right on the money, but then... Sean O'Haire meme.

I know Daniel Bryan getting injured threw a bit of a wrench nto things but it's inexcusable that they couldn't come up with a half-way passable plan b. I've said before, its actually even more than Bryan being injured. CM Punk, who would have been an obvious pan B, walked out. Batista, another obvious choice, had to leave to promote a movie. By default, it was pretty much Cena or Orton again. Granted, WWE have done themselves no favors by cutting down people like Bray or Cesaro, who were on fire and could have been something new and different in the main event.

He's right, but at the same time, he's preaching what all of us already knew or should know to begin with. And that right there is why I don't buy any of the shit that comes from his brain. The man is desperate need of money and is just going to be saying what the people want to hear to get subs on his website. He's just trying to keep his name and website out there to draw in the gullible that still think the man has any clue on how to craft a decent wrestling show despite nearly two decades of proof to the contrary.

That was logically thought out and pretty valid.
I'm scared!
But seriously, if I knew there was a way to put a filter on him, I would be completely fine with having Russo brought in to work on writing for the midcard.

Dear Vince Russo,
Even though you DID make valid points in THIS article---I find your writing style very annoying. Namely---you don't just end sentences----you have to keep using a dash OVER and OVER. You do this instead of just ending the sentence---and let's not forget about the ALL CAPS.

He states the obvious. WWE's problems are well known. We identify them on a daily basis. It's not difficult.
The problem is that Russo has no solutions. He's shown time and time again that he's learned nothing from past mistakes. Swerves are good. Unpredictability automatically is better. Long matches are boring. Belts are just props to be thrown around. Smark comments are awesome. It's all fake so none of it matters etc...
He's an asshole
