I never actually watched the movie, but I loved the NES game based on it and had many of the action figures (when they were marked down to like $1.00 each at Kaybee).

Saw this in a theater in 1990. This thread inspired me to watch it for the first time since as I saw it playing on FLIX. It really holds up well and I had forgotten how hot Madonna was.

I would love to have the McDonald's cardboard sign with all the villains' mugshots. That was a fun contest.

I like it. It really does look like a comic book.

DICK TRACY was almost a big a movie for me as a kid as BATMAN was. I saw it a year or 2 ago for the first time in ages and it was actually better, if that's possible. This is how I was introduced to Warren Beatty, but more importantly this is how I was introduced to Al Pacino, who just fascinated me. You can have your Godfather and Scarface and Serpico and whatever, THIS was Pacino for me. And as an older viewer, I appreciated that Big Boy/Spud Spaldoni confrontation so much more now that I'd seen The Godfather... ...which really sucks, because the rights were all messed up for awhile, preventing a bluray release, all the while Warren Beatty was talking about a bluray packed with extras if he was able to get ahold of the rights again. He gets his hands on the rights like 3 years ago and all we get is a barebones bluray out of it.Bullshit. To be fair, he'd been talking about a special edition DVD before that for a few years. In fact, very shortly after that initial DVD news was reported, we got a barebones DVD. *shrugs*

This and Rocketeer were two of my favorite movies as a kid.

Did anyone find also the scene where The Kid shows Dick Tracey his new name on the certificate touching? Warren Beatys reaction with the musical score almost had me in tears...I just wanted him to get out of jail and save the day!

I really liked the movie and I even liked the video game for it. I still have my action figures

I liked Kid more than the kid from Temple of Doom.
