The angle with McMahon's Master Plan to get the WWF Title off of Austin was fun, culminating with the memorable 9/28 Raw is War where Stone Cold crashed the championship presentation and Vince's leg getting broken by Taker & Kane.

JR and King's commentary was the absolute worst it was of either's careers. Goldberg's title win came a month too late and his momentum never really recovered. Steiner and Test's months long feud took a turn from the boring to the insultingly boring. Hurricane and Rosey as the S.H.I.T. "Boring" Lance Storm

Wasn't it September 2000 when Austin came back? That was a really hot angle, until they f***ed it. But for a couple of weeks there the crowds were hot, the show was tense and everything was good.

2006 was pretty good, Unforgiven 2006 ended up being one of the best PPVs of the year.

No, but this has been the worst September yet. By far. I'm not gonna disagree with this, but I'm pretty sure the same thing was said last year.

I'll go with 1997 and 98 as both being really good. Sept. 1999 sorta sucked really. 2000 was the beginning of the end of the really big boom period for the WWF, with the Austin storyline kinda tanking from there along with HHH/Angle/Steph. Sept. 2001 was actually really good.
I would have said 1992 but really it was Oct. 1992 where all the crazy stuff started happening like Bret winning the title, Shawn with the IC (although that aired in Nov.).

1991 was awesome as I started watching in August so it was fresh to me. Flair, Savage vs Jake, Taker vs Hogan, Sid and El Diablo stuff, Bret as IC champ and other stuff.
1992 I hated because Summerslam was great and then we lost our Sky Sports subscription and I went totally out of the loop. Savage lost the belt too
1993, 94 and 95 were all pretty dull. 94 was the end of All American Wrestling
1996 was another crappy one all the UK showings began changing and I missed a ton of stuff because of it
1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 all had great post Summerslam stuff
2001-2002 was where I stopped watching full time so nothing stands out.
Overall yes Sept can be crappy bar that 4 year run.

There hasn't been a good any month. For some reason WWE seems to continue to be worthy of mst3k'ing for a long period. I swear like 1 RAW in 20 is actually good, but for some reason it continues to be funny to bitch about =P.
