Quarter Finals
Match 1
The Undertaker VS Kane: Undertaker def. Kane by pinfall (19:57): This was a wild brawl. Kane and Undertaker went at it in and out of the ring. By the 8 minute mark, Kane went for a tombstone and accidentally hit the ref with Undertaker's legs. This allowed Paul Bearer to run into the ring and hit Kane with a chair. It didn't do much to Kane, who went after Bearer; but it did allow Taker to grab the chair and beat down on Kane. Somehow, he wasn't DQ'ed with the new ref came down, probably because the ref would have been killed by Taker. After demolishing Kane, Taker went for a tombstone, but Kane reversed it. As Kane went for the pin, Bearer distracted the ref. Kane got up and started choking him, allowing Taker to get up and squash Kane. However, he ended up getting the ref as well. This led to more weapons. Eventually a third ref came down. Kane went for a chokeslam, but Bearer distracted the ref again when Kane went for the pin. Kane then threw Bearer into the ring and hit him with a tombstone. As he got up, Undertaker lowblowed him as the ref was checking on Bearer. This allowed Taker to tombstone Kane and get the pin.
Match 2
Ken Shamrock VS The Rock: The Rock def. Shamrock by pinfall (15:48): These two men were no strangers to one another, having feuded earlier in the year. So, The Rock, who usually got bashed around by Shamrock, knew how to handle him, attacking him early on and not letting up. However, Shamrock came out with both Jerry Brisco and Pat Patterson, who would distract the ref whenever Rock got the advantage, allowing Shamrock to take over. Eventually, Shamrock missed a clothesline, allowing The Rock to hit a float over DDT. Another pin attempt by The Rock led to Brisco and Patterson to interfere, but the New Age Outlaws came out and took out the Stooges. However, The Big Boss Man came down and threw his nightstick in to Shamrock as the Outlaws/Stooges brawl distracted the ref. As he tried to hit The Rock with it, The Rock lowblowed Shamrock, took the nightstick, and hit Shamrock with it. He then hit Boss Man with it as he ran into the ring. The Rock then hit the Rock Bottom and People's Elbow for the win.
