I've heard mixed reactions to it. I really like it the matchup's are great its all the stupid DQ's that ruin it for me. I think the steamboat/valentine match is my favorite match, the one I really hate the savage/gang match, it would be great to see a tired savage try to out wrestle the huge gang but instead we get a cheap DQ 2 mins into the match...

Extremely long and boring, I even tried to like it but I just couldn't.
A few cool moments though, and the main event turned out as a cool way to start the Mega-Powers.

It's probably just nostalgia speaking, but I love the tournament - all but DiBiase/Duggan and Jake/Rude. Those matches were overly boring to me for some reason. The biggest upset of the tournament to me was how Bam Bam got eliminated.

I think Wrestlemania 4 is the worst Mania of all time. By far. It's that bad.

Torturous, boring and delivering no standout matches. Which is a shame because Randy Savage is my favourite wrestler of all time.

I thought that Valentine/Steamboat and Valentine/Savage were good matches... maybe not great matches, but good ones.

Loved it as a kid just for the tournament setting. Now I can't really watch it at all. Rude/Roberts though is great material if you ever need to fall asleep fast.

Dibiase should have just gone in as Champion for a rematch with Hogan.

I remember enjoying it when I last saw it. It's not great, and it's far from the best Wrestlemanias ever. But it's really not that bad.

It's interesting to see the change in one year. WWF was still huge, still delivering great storylines and wrestlers but for some reason IV didn't have near as much going for it as III did. III had so many great matches and even some of the "extra" type matches were very high quality in terms of the match ups. IV, on the other hand, would have been even more abysmal if not for the tournament. The singles match (based on guys in the tournament) would have very little heat to them, very little backstory and what's worse is the battle royal participants. Many of these guys had to have been put in their just for a pay day, the battle royal didn't even do much for Bad News, and if there was no tournament, we'd have a bunch of throwaway matches based on the 20 participants and there'd be little feuding going on.

I loved it. I think you kind of had to be a fan at the time to really appreciate it. Mania III and IV were just epic, completely different than anything you'd see on TV at time. Hogan had been champion for years, and now, suddenly, you have this 14-man tournament in one night to crown a champion.
And I really like shorter matches. I'd rather have a 15-match Mania than an 8-match show with multiple matches going 20+ minutes.

I loved it. Real sporting feeling to it, and while it did drag at times, the overall presentation was superb

It did feel like a sporting event. A lot of the old Wrestlemanias felt like a sporting event.

Haven't watched it in ages, but I remember that Rude/Jake match being a stall fest. Also remember being kind of disappointed that Bam Bam didn't do much.

I liked it as a kid and still like it now, the matches are short and fine for the time period.
The best part of the tournament, no Savage vs. Steamboat 2, because there would be non-stop, never-ending, horrible, horrible screeching about how it wasn't as good as the year before and well, you know exactly what the comments would be.

I find tournaments boring. Many PPVs were ruined by making us watch the same few guys wrestle multiple times a night.

I just wish they tried to put on a better show. Even if they did not have the match go for a while, I would have loved a Savage/Steamboat rematch for the quality and storytelling involved. It is a concept that can be done right, but I think it was lacking in execution.

Found it very boring and overlong with some stupid finishes (One Man Gang's matches in particular). I remember getting the DVD and seeing Rude v Roberts was on it and thinking "Bet that match is awesome!" Couldn't have been more wrong, utter snoozefest.
Valentine v Steamboat is probably the only match I enjoyed in all honesty.

I like how Randy Savage won his matches in different ways.
