They would have blamed Ronda Rousey for not drawing, but the producers liked being alive more.

Maybe the movie would've made $250 million more if it hadn't been a heaping pile of meh?

Ronda in the red dress was the only good part of the movie.

Wait... how could they possibly figure out who to name in this suit? It is the landmark case of Everybody vs. Everybody.

So, the work out on that cost? Do they do it for other things?
"100 mil for piracy. 35 mil for going PG-13. 22 mil for not bringing back Bruce Willis, told you Sly..." Fifteen minutes later "...and that's why Expendables 3 isn't the largest grossing movie of all time. Now. Call the lawyers."

The novelty has worn off. That's why it didn't do as well as they would have thought.

The novelty has worn off. That's why it didn't do as well as they would have thought. Pretty much. Two movies was enough, and a third one with like 20 people in the team was too much.

"Budget $90 million Box office $189.6 million" So making 100 million dollar is not enough? Also I believe piracy is great, and I have hundreds of games on steam(I don't watch movies so much), even if some abuse it, I don't want to live in a world where people have less access to knowledge of any kind just because they're poor. The box office format involves cutting the number in half to account for what theaters get of the money. Put it in those terms, and Expendables 3 just barely broke even- so not great at all. Not even there. American gross gets presumably cut in half, but studios get even less back from the Overseas totals. And when you add marketting, the budget was actually $125 million.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the film industry became as stupid as the RIAA.

The makers of Hot Fuzz should sue them for ripping off their idea of an action movie starring a selection of big name OAPs.

will there be a swerve where Bruce Willis via being part owner in planet hollywood with sly and arnold got access to the new film and leaked it out out of revenge for not being in it???
hell...theres your 4th film, Church leaks out documents from the FBI including the real names of all the expendables and thus the team must band together to take out Church and his new rival team....featuring Christopher Eccleston and Pierce Brosnan....

It is kind of weird though to me. I get piracy in some instances but why do people waste time watching movies they wouldn't pay for? Like, if the only reason you're watching it is simply because an opportunity presented itself to bootleg it, why?
There are piles of better things on Netflix and you're not breaking the law watching it.

They should sue (I think it was?) Entertainment Weekly as well. I believe they're the ones who did an article about the initial leak and basically gave hints as to where one would find it.
At the end of the day, this is just a stupid scare tactic and they're using piracy as a scapegoat for their shitty movie failing at the box office.

This is like arresting meth addicts instead of arresting the dealer.
