Cena is not going anywhere for another five or six years unless he has a career ending injury. Even then he'll be around. I wouldn't sweat tying Flair; the future is going to be one of the the Cenation.
It's like telling Hogan in his prime, 'Boy do we have a ton of new talent coming in.'
'Yeah they're pretty good.'
'Ha, don't get too nervous!'
'Don't be ridiculous. Icons are rare. And you are talking to one of the greatest.'
Also, Vince is a factor. For heavens sake he wrote that ridiculous end to raw with the wyatts.
And in terms of the heel turn, it just wouldn't even be interesting anymore. We all have the internet. WM 30 and prior would have been the last time I would have checked out a heel turn. These days it just doesn't even matter, and the WWE know it better than an anyone.

I can't stand Flair so hope Cena does break his record.

Until he wins the Intercontinental Title, he's a joke.

Well as far as I'm concerned if I company has two world titles, they actually have zero world titles. Cena's a one time world champion in my mind. Since there were two World Titles during all of Cena's reigns, in my mind, each on of his only counts as half. Well...all but one. His most recent was the undisputed championship.

If its any consolation to those of you offended by Cena equalling and breaking Ric Flair's record, I think it will always be regarded as a lesser achievement than Flair's due to the modern trend of passing the belt around like a hot potato and having two World title belts within the same company. Well as far as I'm concerned if I company has two world titles, they actually have zero world titles. Cena's a one time world champion in my mind. Yeah, two world title belts in the same company invalidates the person who has it. Like when Ric Flair came into the WWF calling himself the real World Champion with his own belt while Hulk Hogan had the WWF World title. ... Wait.

Of course he is, he's all the WWE have. I wouldn't be surprised if he was approaching Jerry Lawler's record by the time he retires.
