I personally think CM Punk the person and the character are almost the same. He seems like he really gets into it even if he's tried to play himself off as not caring that much or whatever.

Wasn't there a rumor that he wanted to change his name legally to CM Punk? I think I heard about it during 2012 or something

I always made fun of the Ultimate Warrior and how his family was probably called the Warriors, I was always joking, but his wife actually changed her name to Dana Warrior. AJ Punk doesn't sound too good in my opinión.

Let's cut to the chase, seriously folks, who here likes the Gin Blossoms and who here, instead, loves the Gin Blossoms? I love almost every band who came out of that Tempe, Arizona scene. Gin Blossoms, The Refreshments/Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Dead Hot Workshop, so much great music out for that area. As for Punk, love the wrestler. THe man? Well, I read this stories about him being a prick on the street from random scrubs, then I see/hear about him doing stuff like buying Joey Mercury's house so he wouldn't lose it, I hear about his friendship wit Kofi, I hear about all this stuff where he seems like an awesome dude. I take the side of the things that are documented, versus fans telling stories. Plus he was in a ska band I saw once (not sure if he was in it at the time however), but I heart ska, so good enough.

It's not that tough to appreciate someone's work and then avoid how they act in real life if it truly bothers you.
Some people are pricks on occasion, Punk has been and apologized for several times, probably hasn't apologized for other occasions.
The 4th wall coming down further with social networks and TMZ replacing the place of traditional rumour milling celebrity pages in papers and in magazines means people think they know celebrities much better than they actually do. If the celebrities had privacy and weren't hounded as much, we'd probably find it easier to not give a damn or feel like they owe us as fans anything as long as they do their job well, Punk did, that's enough for me.
If he's a jerk behind the scenes then it doesn't bother me, he's not Mike Tyson or anything.
