Hello again lovely ladies and gents of FAN. This week I asked you to bring me the best matches in the career of Rey Mysterio. T-19 Rey Mysterio vs. vs. Chris Jericho vs. Edge vs. John Cena vs. Kane vs. Mike Knox - Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship - No Way Out 2009 - February 15, 2009 - 11 Points (Ranked #5 once)In the opening contest of the night, Jeff Hardy eliminated Edge from the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber in just under three minutes, guaranteeing there would be a new WWE Champion. Everybody thought that Edge's night was over, and thought nothing of it until main event time. As Kofi Kingston was making his entrance into the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber, The Rated-R Superstar would attack him from behind and take his place. And so, Edge, Jericho, Mysterio, Kane and Knox would go to war in an effort to dethrone the Champ. Cena held strong for much of the match, but fell victim to a vicious combination of finishers (a Codebreaker into a 619 into a Spear) that would put him away. Eventually it came down to Edge and Mysterio and, despite Rey's best efforts, Edge would defeat him and win a title he was never supposed to be fighting for in a match he was never supposed to be in.

T-19 Rey Mysterio, Jr vs. Chris Jericho - WCW Cruiserweight Championship Match - WCW Souled Out 1998 - January 24, 1998 - 11 Points (Ranked #5 once)Nine days before on WCW Thunder, Mysterio would win the Cruiserweight Championship for the 3rd time by beating Juventud Guerrera. At Souled Out 1998, he would defend his title against Chris Jericho. This match didn't get much time (just about 9 minutes), but the two men did everything they could to make the match great. Jericho would reverse a top rope huricanrana into the Liontamer to win the Cruiserweight Championship. After the match, Jericho would attack Mysterio by using a toolbox, putting Rey on the shelf while he got surgery.

18 Rey Mysterio vs. vs. The Big Show vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Edge vs. Kane vs. Wade Barrett - Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship - Elimination Chamber 2011 - February 20, 2011 - 11 Points (Ranked #4 once)OR: The One With Drew McIntyre Going Nuts Yes, this match is primarily remembered by most for McIntyre going absolutely bonkers for five or so minutes (which was probably the last time The Chosen One would ever look credible). But beyond that, this match had a lot to offer. Edge had won the World Championship in a TLC match last December against Kane, Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio and, in what would be his last run with the gold, had to survive another Chamber match to punch his ticket to WrestleMania and a date with destiny against Del Rio. Come hell and high water, Edge would survive the Chamber and looked as good as ever heading into WrestleMania 27.

17 Rey Mysterio, Jr vs. Billy Kidman vs. Juventud Guerrera - WCW Cruiserweight Championship Match - WCW Starrcade 1998 - December 27, 1998 - 11 Points (Ranked #3 once)Did the WCW brass ever have faith in Billy Kidman? This was a question a few were asking heading into Starrcade's opening contest. Sure, Kidman was the reigning Cruiserweight Champion, but he was facing Rey and Juventud in a Triangle Match. A tall task to overcome for anybody, to be sure, but for Billy Kidman to retain that night, he might have needed a miracle. And a miracle is exactly what he got. Even with some untimely interference on Eddy Guerrero's part, Kidman managed to roll up Juvi Juice and escape with the Cruiserweight Championship once again.

T-15 Rey Mysterio vs. John Morrison - Intercontinental Championship Match - Friday Night SmackDown! - September 4, 2009 - 13 Points (Ranked #4 once)It's a strange, but nonetheless enjoyable, tradition that if you get popped for a Wellness Suspension, you go all out in your last match before it comes into effect. Examples of this have included Jeff Hardy, Umaga, and yes, John Morrison. This time, however, Morrison would find himself on the receiving end of such a match. Having recently been drafted to Friday Night SmackDown and undergoing a face turn, Morrison would face Mysterio in that week's main event. Mysterio broke the Policy rules and was set to be done for a month, but not before putting on a fantastic match with the Friday Night Delight. When all was said and done, Morrison had won his third Intercontinental Championship, and his first under the John Morrison persona.

T-15 Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu - Extreme Rules Match for the World Heavyweight Championship - ECW One Night Stand 2006 - June 11, 2006 - 13 Points (Ranked #4 once)At the 2nd annual One Night Stand event, Rey Mysterio was rolling off the momentum of his WrestleMania 22 triumph over Randy Orton and Kurt Angle to win his first World Heavyweight Championship. This being an ECW event, his challenger was none other than another fantastic cruiserweight, the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal, death-defying maniac, Sabu. The master of botching and mortal nemesis of the Japanese Table would be on point for this one. He and Rey would go back and forth, and would come very close to winning the Big Gold more than once. However, he turned out to be his own worst enemy in this one. Sabu would hit a triple jump DDT to the outside on Rey through a table, but this had the unfortunate side effect of knocking both men out cold. The referees would rule the match a Double Knockout, and thus Mysterio would retain the belt.

(You're a good man, Crappler El 0 M) 14 Rey Misterio, Jr vs. Juventud Guerrera - 2 Out of 3 Falls Match - ECW Big Ass Extreme Bash Night 2 - March 9, 1996 - 13 Points (Ranked #3 once)The first ECW match to crack a countdown. Rey Mysterio and Juventud Guerrera had a rivalry dating back to both men's days in Mexico, and would soon extend into their days in WCW. However, before all that, they would face off in the Land of Extreme in both men's first exposure in America. After several memorable moments, including Juvi powerbombing Rey onto the hood of a car, Rey would prevail 2 falls to 1. When we return (2:00 PM EST): 4 singles matches, 1 tag team match 1 first-time ever match Every member of the SmackDown Six in action The most ridiculous gimmick match in Rey's career 4 WWE matches, 1 WCW match

13 Rey Mysterio vs. Shawn Michaels - "Raw Is Eddie" - November 14, 2005 - 15 Points (Ranked #2 once)A few nights ago, Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his hotel room. After holding an emergency press conference about it, the superstars of Monday Night Raw would regroup and hold a tribute show, for which one of the big matches was Mysterio/Michaels. This was the first time these two had ever faced off. Close friends and prayer buddies with Eddie, the two were among the hardest hit by his death, but managed to put it aside for a time and put on a fantastic match that entertained thousands of viewers, but was really meant for one person.

12 Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho - No Holds Barred Match for the Intercontinental Championship - Extreme Rules 2009 - June 7, 2009 - 16 Points (Ranked #5 twice)At WrestleMania 25, Rey Mysterio defeated JBL in about a half-minute to win the Intercontinental Championship. Also at WrestleMania 25, Chris Jericho came a hair away from losing his 3-on-1 Handicap Match against Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, and Ricky Steamboat (with whom he would have a second match at Backlash). Jericho, at some point, would become #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Championship against his old rival at Extreme Rules. The two, as they would later on, would go all out and have arguably match of the night. Mysterio seemed to have the match won and was going for the 619 when Jericho, in mid-move, ripped Mysterio's mask off! In his haste to cover up his face, Mysterio would fall prey to a roll-up, leaving The Best in the World At What He Does Intercontinental Champion yet again. And just for good measure, Jericho would head off with Rey's mask.
