Yeah, penalizing a player for praying after a TD is gonna get the NFL in (even more) trouble If the NFL has even a competent legal team, they're telling the higher ups not to fine Abdullah and issue a public apology. Or else they're going to face a slam dunk discrimination lawsuit. Going down to 2 knees during a touchdown celebration will always draw a flag, no matter who it is. That's the rule, no matter how dumb it may sound.

Except the NFL has said time again that going down for prayer will not be penalized. So the NFL just took a nice side journey on their voyage up shit creek.

Yeah, which is why the NFL has to save face and apologize for the penalty. And also change the rule so that they don't penalize Muslim players for something Christian players have done for decades without any opposition. Either that or start throwing the flag whenever anyone prays regardless of faith, which I can't imagine going over too well with the NFLPA.
Like I said, if they stay silent or do something really dumb and issue a fine, they're going to invite even more legal trouble on themselves.

Damn it Gronk! You just had to catch a TD, didn't you? Oh well, if I had a D/ST that was actually playing, I'd have won.....or if I took Romo instead of Cousins......

It doesn't get much better than seeing the Pats get absolutely crucified on a Monday night.

I got tired of hearing how the Pats are geniuses for stockpiling 20 6th round picks, trading down in the draft,etc.. Still no Super Bowl wins without cheating.

Every time the Patriots lose, I'm mystified at the claims that Bill Belichick is one of the best coaches in the NFL.
There was no creativity or strategy on that offense or defense last night. They got physically manhandled by the Chiefs and nothing was really done about it. Worse? That Patriots team, from start to finish, looked completely unmotivated. Guys on the defense huffing and puffing with their hands on their hips in the first quarter. Offensive linemen stumbling around while Brady gets eaten alive. Brady just sort of giving up and phoning it in during the second half.
None of those things are good signs for New England.

Colts S Laron Landry suspended 4 games for testing positive for PEDs And they released another player, Da'rick Rogers, for drunk driving the night of the game against Tennessee.

Does this affect all sports or just the NFL? I'm not a Cavs fan but I hate not being able to watch a game on Fox Sports Ohio if I want to because it's blacked out.

They have a terrible team this year, but every coach loses games, every team looks lazy at some point. If they didn't, every SB would be won by an undefeated team. If you can lose Tom Brady and nearly make the playoffs by plugging in Matt Freakin' Cassell, it speaks at least a little to quality of your coaching.

Looks like the NFL has apologized for the flag on Husain Abdullah. Hey, the league admitted to a mistake! Baby steps, Goodell!

Yeah who knew that eroding the talent around a great player even with a "system" like the Pats have would end up biting them.

I think that had a lot more to do with the roster that season than any maneuvers on-field. I'm not saying that the man isn't a good coach, but the jump from good coach to great coach is a much tougher one to place than a bad coach to average coach, or average coach to good coach.

The Pats have a boatload of problems, but I'm not ready to bury them just yet. They might rightfully miss the playoffs if the Fins step up this year but the whole division has question marks so they might sneak in but they won't do much
