Brock Lesnar and Ken Shamrock proved that they could do really good on the ring, probably because they actually started as pro wrestlers, Brock in early 2000s and Ken as Vince Torelli in the early 90s I think, and to a lesser extent Dan Severn, although according to Mick Foley, Dan wasn't a good worker.
It got me thinking which of the current MMA fighters would transition well to the realm of Sports Entertainment?
Chael Sonnen: He actually went to the Power Plant and passed the grueling test Sgt Buddy Lee Parker put all the guys through. But at the time Sonnen was considered a cruiserweight based on his size, according to him they wanted Chael to take gymnastic classes and be like a high flyer. I can just picture Chael vs Rey Mysterio at Halloween Havoc.
Ronda Rousey: She would obviously need to train a lot to adapt, but she has the charisma and is actually a super fan, her nickname of Rowdy, is a tribute to Roddy Piper, a friend of her trainer Gene Lebell.
Josh Barnett: Obviously he's a super fan and actually had worked matches on Japan under Inoki's IGF. Has the height that Vince loves, but his physique is terrible which is also important to Vince. Ken Shamrock actually said that Vince wouldn't let Severn wrestle without a T shirt.
Rashad Evans: I think that out of all of the guys I just mentioned he would do the best. He's ripped enough and more athletic than them. Also has a ton of natural charisma.

Ronda and Chael would both be awesome. Tom Lawlor too, fairly certain he had a WWE tryout at some point and he's currently signed with ROH as far as I know.

Yeah Lawlor actually started as a pro wrestler before mma, I think he just managed ReDRagon in ROH and it was a one shot, he's still under contract, but I can see him as a comedy guy. Oh yeah Roy Nelson, put him as part of the wyatt family please.

If Chael could pass wellness, he'd be a huge star in WWE.

While he lacks the size I reckon Conor McGregor would be able to cut a awesome promo.

Not sure about starting as a competitor at his age, but I would love to have Chael Sonnen replace Lawler and JBL at the booth. He'd be such a natural fit, and even if the shows were garbage, the commentary would be hilarious.

I was kind of optimistic about Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson in TNA because I really think both of them could be good wrestlers. Rampage more than Tito.

"217 pounds of muscle, steel and sex appeal". Yeah Chael would be entertaining as hell.

Go back in time and get Don Frye as Shamrock's nemesis instead of Dan Severn.

he's had some MMA matches and won them all thus far (though the people hes faced have been pretty much jobbers) but dammit it counts as an MMA fighter....just give me Jason David Frank on the roster already!!! dude is a huge fan and would work really really well in WWE.

I can even think of a good way to debut him. He comes in as a "guest host". We all laugh at how up to date Vince is with pop culture . He beats up someone like Slater or Sandow, and then decides to "stick around", making appearances on NXT to get the wrestling basics down.

Heyman has already say she would like Rousey to verge first Paul Heyman girl Don't do that to her please, most Heyman guys just end up jobbing lol. I dunno. I could kind of picture a scenario where Heyman is in the ring and starts criticizing the divas, saying they are all "artificial" and shouldn't be on tv. A pair of divas come out, Summer and Layla for example, and get in Heyman's face. Rousey makes her debut and trashes both of them, after which Heyman threatens the divas roster and says "My newest client is going to make you all wish you'd never stepped off the assembly line!"
