Not perfect, but it's a fun show. Conspiracies abound!

The show gets one thing really wrong and it kills the Batman mythos for me. The question over the Bat has always been "Is he a response to the villains, or does the villains exist in response to him". Here they leave no ambiguity, crazy ass villains existed long before the Bat. That kind of kills it for me as a Batman tie in.

Here they leave no ambiguity, crazy ass villains existed long before the Bat. That kind of kills it for me as a Batman tie in. It's always been a myth that the colorful guys appeared because of him. It has never bothered me much cause when they came up with their Batman Begins movie in 2005, I was interested to see what the bad guys would be like before they met Batman. Like there was an idea that the Penguins may start off as a Club Owner for example, someone that knows where all the bodies are buried. Just so not everybody ends up being a gang leader, you know. My main problem with the show and what kills the "aura" of Batman and that Universe is seeing Bruce all the time. It's such a powerful Legend in that World that you shouldn't see him, it should be overing it all like a creeping menace. If anything to see young Bruce makes it all seem too normal and it hurts Batman the character.

"What's altruism?"
LMAO
They're pushing that the Waynes weren't exactly the pillars of society. My guess is that they're not evil, but they compromised quite a bit. It could be an explanation for why Batman refuses to kill in this incarnation.

Just watched the new episode, and they really need to kill off Fish sooner rather than later. Besides just being the most dull part of the show, this thing has way, way too many subplots going on at any given point in time and they need to start trimming the fat. I kind of grew actually pissed off when I saw the hook that the Viper thing's going to be followed up on because this show is just waaaay too busy for its own good and it's its biggest problem.
Also, of course somebody got crushed by the ATM. I knew that would happen.

See I actually like that they're showing Bruce to be incredibly naive and sheltered and that the death of his parents was not the only reason he decided to become Batman. I like how he's seeing how corrupt Gotham actually is, how little the rich care about the poor, and how others are willing to stand up to the criminals but don't have the strength to continue doing it. I also think (when they focus on it) they're doing a good job of showing how much it hurts Gordon that the people he's trying to protect don't trust him because of how corrupt Gotham is.

I like that since Bruce is a little kid and can't do anything physical they're focusing more on the detective work. Which pretty much any other adaptation just ignores.

Damn near fell off my chair when he said that. Best line i have heard in ages. He can see the corruption without all of his rogues and various gimmick criminals showing up. It could just be more based around the mob guys not flute knife guy and Balloonman.

Speaking of which, I imagine the director of Arkham in this series will be a Dr. S.Crow.

Speaking of which, I imagine the director of Arkham in this series will be a Dr. S.Crow. With impressionable young female doctor Chloe Own. I seriously can't get over how stupid that Ivy Pepper thing is. I don't know what possibly reason there is for that, it's not like the name Pamela Isley's subtle.

Speaking of which, I imagine the director of Arkham in this series will be a Dr. S.Crow. Hugo Strange would be awesome as that role with a staff of Quinzel and Crane
