Poison Ivy being "the Witch" made sense in the moss covered credenza.
Bullock yelling "NOT EVERYONE WANTS YOUR HELP, JIM GORDON." was...surprisingly powerful in the most "STOP GETTING ME ALMOST KILLED, YOU JERK" type of way.
Enjoyed Riddler's interactions with Tank. May Tank somehow survive the next episode!

Selina has almost gone full cat with the claws and the random hissing.
Not Harley Quinn calls her "Puddin"
Selina abandons Bruce yet again.
And the show ends with Gordon leaving the oven on.

The show's ever consistent ideology of "Hey, are we losing momentum in any way? BLOW SOMETHING UP" will be missed.
Penguin just wanting to be liked but being too corrupt to just be good to people is a continuous story line.
Selina showed Bebop that he needs Rocksteady to really make an impact.
Since he wasn't on the episode, I do suppose that means that Tank has now survived two eps, which is surprisingly good for a named Gang Member on this show.
Oh, and the Jeremiah things seems...sketchy so far. Ring Around the Russian Roulette, I suppose.

So what happened to Leslie Thompkins? We haven't even seen her since she and Riddler stabbed each other at the end of the previous season. Has Morena Baccarin simply left the show or is she coming back for the last few episodes?

Zsasz continues to demonstrate why he's the most entertainment character on this show.
Also, I need to work "telling porkies" into my vocabulary.

The Zsasz thing cracked me up. I mean why didn't they just ask him to come down from the building and talk about the explosion? Let's immediately start shooting instead.

So first Magpie, now Jane Doe. The show has not been shy about killing off C-List Batman villains lately. The only reason I don't include The Ventriloquist on that list is that this was obviously not the Arnold Wesker version so I'm pretty sure we'll see Scarface again.
Also this episode had one of the worst cases of editing failure I've seen in awhile. When Penguin tackles Penn you can clearly see Scarface's head go flying across the room. In the very next shot Penn and Scarface are seen lying over Penguin, completely intact. Really sloppy.
Who was Bruce and Alfred supposed to be fighting in the sewer? Amygdala? Lunkhead? It seemed like they were foreshadowing Killer Croc, but the guy they were fighting did not look like a crocodile-man.

I liked this episode. The Bruce and Alfred adventure wasn't really interesting, but I liked the Jane Doe stuff. I don't know this character, but she reminded me of the TNBA character, Calendar Girl with the white mask.

The Jane Doe plot actually reminded me a lot of a Gotham season one episode, before massive story-arcs started becoming the dominant form of the shows storytelling - police investigating a weird mystery while having to deal with the corruption around them. It was a nice change of pace.

I really appreciated a plot that focused on Bullock. Donal Logue has always been one of my favorite parts of the show, and I like when they give him a turn in the spotlight. They've low-key made the character rather layered and I enjoy when they choose to explore that.

It would have been stronger if Dix had been on the show a few more times. I wasn't what Dan Hedaya was doing in the "Previously on...", like I was really wondering was he in the last episode and I forgot. I liked he wasn't an evil all along. It wasn't that they set the mother up, she was guilty, but to them if you can close a case clean, just do it.
I forgot to reply to Scarface. I don't think we'll see him again. There are only 4 episodes. The showrunner actually mentioned last fall he was disappointed not getting a chance to adapt Scarface because of the shorter season. I guess this was a compromise, being able to do the character for one ep at least. I also think Penn was pretty good casting as the Ventriloquist.

Shame... I loved those episodes in Batman: TAS.

I really do feel a rush to use Batman villains. Magpie, Jane Doe, Scarface. Literal bang, bang, bang.
The Mockingbird episode reminded me of a spec script of Gotham I wrote where a young couple robs a bank that ends up being controlled by Falcone (It was a season 1 script) and there was a race between the police and the mob to find them first. I ended it with them getting gunned down while their baby, constantly referred to as "my little magpie," by the mother giggles at her shiny baubles.
Random sharing in the Gotham thread.

whatever happened to Harvey dent? Harvey and those two Internal Affairs cops from season 1 drove to a little place called "Whoops, Nevermind."

whatever happened to Harvey dent? I know the actor had been a lead on Trial and Error (when it was still on) so perhaps Dent just kind of vanished because he got that part.
