In a way, I like how he's all over the place this year in regards to selection, but on the same token, I'm not really feeling the cohesiveness of previous "themed" years. Also sort of at the point of feeling he needs to wrap up whatever 30s/40s Universal stuff there is left.

Sort of surprised he didn't briefly hit upon the other Moreau adaptations at the end, as he's been doing something of that nature for a lot of these that have related titles. Beyond that atrocious Brando version, there was a 70s one with Burt Lancaster, as well as The Twilight People and Terror Is A Man being based on it.

Ah yes It, having read the novel which I found to be average I don't have much of an urge to watch the whole film.

Y'know, I don't get James sometimes. Sometimes he comes off so oblivious to obvious things, or things he should either know thanks to his interests or life experiences. His confusion over the double-sided DVD at the end is just...I dunno.
Really not sure how he got so off the mark about Pennywise's reason for using the clown form. It wasn't because it was scary, it was the exact opposite; he used a clown form that kids liked so that he could lure them in. He only went with the other forms when others started trying to fight back or stop him.

Lots of negative comments on his site for his favorable review Crazy. I agree with James on Bride

can't agree with James at all about Death Proof. it's boring shit and it's like Tarantino forgot what kind of movie he was making about 30 minutes in. I will agree about Kurt Russel being pretty boss, though.

At least the mystery of what they threw into the fire is now solved.
